I am so disappointed with Target's Pure Energy line. It was supposed to be a plus size contemporary line, but there is nothing contemporary about it. Everything looks like old hippie wear. I love hippies, but Mama Cass wouldn't even wear this stuff.
The dresses, the tops, just about everything is horrendous, and the line doesn't even fit the models well. How are you going to sell something when the models look bad? The patterns and prints are terrible. They aren't even flattering. Some of the tank tops make you look preggers.
I used to want to major in medieval art and history, so I tend to love all things medieval. Unfortunately for me, when I look at some of the clothes Target made for this collection, I suddenly get the urge to sing "Are you going to Scarborough Fair?"
I am so sad because I only like two pieces from the collection. I guess that means I can save my money for something better. I wish I had the money to come up with my own plus size store because I promise it would be way better than this.

They're shocking. No imagination whatsoever. The trousers look like a good fit but seriously? They're selling this?
Agreed! This collection is horiible! I would never buy anything on here except the two items you liked. Just because we might be plus sized doesn't mean you have to cover our bodies in too much material! geez Target, get it right next time!

the strapless sweatheard dress doesnt look that bad. its kinds of cute i think. and the zippered jeans are cute too. the handkerchief dress is defintly not a good piece. they arent really fashion forward that i must agree but they arent that bad either.
I think this is in the same collection, but I got it this week in 2 colors and LOVE IT- the "plus young contemporary maxi dress". Seen things similar on Size Appeal and other sites for way more $$. I wear it with a shrug and have gotten so many compliments from fashion-forward stick friends. As far as the rest of the stuff though, I do agree- FAIL.
Ugh and I was counting on Target to redeem F21s blunder! I can't think of any plus size woman I know that would wear most of these items. Unflattering cuts, hideous prints, and nowhere near contemporary.
