Mom and I had so much fun shopping and eating and walking. Like I said the other day, I wanted to take pics with my Nikon, but it was raining too much for that. Plus! I couldn’t take the super secret store shots with it. Anyway. NYC was a complete blast. I miss and can’t wait to go back. Here are a lists of places we went too. Some of the places I love to visit when I am in the city, and the other places were exciting because I had never been there before.

Bad Bish

OK! So I know I said last week’s Bad Bish post was gonna count as this week’s too, but that was until I saw Rihanna for Vogue Italia. Anna Wintour dropped the ball again when she dropped Rhi Rhi from and American Vogue cover. It is gorgeous. Now I am going to stalk my local Barnes and Nobles for the issue. Does anyone know when it comes out?

UPDATE: How could I forget the September issue of i-D mag. This is perfection! I love Chanel Iman, Sesilee Lopez, Jourdan Dunn, and Arlenis Sosa. Photo from YBF.

I’m Back

Hey everyone! I had a great trip to New York City. A post about my travels is coming soon. The only thing I regret is the fact that it rained up there, so I couldn’t use my good camera to take good pics. I do have some slightly fuzzy cell phone pics though. Mom and I had a blast! I can’t wait to go back again.

Back to buisness. School starts next week. I hope you all enjoyed the scheduled post I put up in advance.

Would you dare to wear an Alexander Wang sweater with a tank top from Target? Keri Hilson did and she’s dishing about her style on MTV’s web series “What Were U Thinking? “ This week, Keri gives us the inside scoop on her past and present fashion choices. The stylish up and coming hip-hop/pop artist can be seen in music videos by Usher and Nelly, and just dropped her new album In A Perfect World. From Stella McCartney boots to Vintage comic book-inspired dresses, Keri knows how to rock out with a bang. That’s because she’s a big fan of bangs! Whether they’re side swept or baby doll style, she always finds the right bangs to match her outfit. To watch this episode and learn more about memorable celebrity fashion choices, visit the “What Were U Thinking?” site here.

Want to get even more insider info on celeb fashion? In the next few weeks, Kim Kardashian and Kristin Cavallari will stop by to talk about their personal style and review some of their most memorable outfits. I’ll be in touch as new “What Were U Thinking” episodes launch. Photos from MTV.

Bad Bish

This week’s Bad Bish post is also going to double as next week’s post, and guess what………IT IS A MAAAAAAN!!!!! I don’t know who he is, but I found him on Jak and Jil. He is smoking hot, right? I love scruffy art school types, but I can’t help but love a man who takes the time to get his clothes tailored.

I am off to NYC later this afternoon, but don’t fret. I still have scheduled posts lined up for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Mad Hatter

From FabSugar:

I remember first falling for Eugenia Kim’s headwear years ago while in NYC. I saw a fantastically dressed girl wearing the sleekest cloche hat. Of course, I had to ask here where she got it, and that’s when she told me about Eugenia. I promptly looked her up, and all hopes of owning one of her creations went down the drain when I found out her hats ranged from $200 to $300. Ready for the twist? Eugenia decided to come out with a cheaper line, called Eek! (cute, huh?), for Urban Outfitters. The collection costs a fraction of her namesake line, $28 to $48, and includes a version of her famous cloche hat, headbands, hair clips, and cool caps. Thanks for hooking it up, Eugenia.

I love hats, especially for the fall, so this is exciting. I also love that fact that the prices are so right. My fav is the Belt Beret.

Start Spreading The News…

I just finished my summer job/internship the Columbia Urban League. That leaves me with two weeks before school starts again, and now in a few days I will be in the Big Apple. YAAAAAAAASSSSSS!!!!! I can’t wait to eat, shop, eat, shop, and of course, walk, walk, walk. I miss the city so much, so I am beyond excited. I hope the weather is good. I heard the weather in NYC has been crazily off and on this summer. The posts that will be up will be scheduled. I am not sure if I will take my laptop yet, so I may or may not be behind on blog comments. I will still be on twitter and email unless my phone goes wonky. I can wait to post my pics and tell you all about what happened. Photo by me.

Mad Men’s Mad About Fashion

I hope you all watched the Mad Men season premier on Sunday. If not, please go watch it. That show is so amazing. The plots and the writing are great, and keep me locked in. There is so much going on in the story, but it isn’t like Lost or True Blood where it is hard to keep up if you haven’t watched the other seasons. I do suggest you watch the other seasons, but only because it is so good.

Anywho, I decided to make Polyvores of the show’s three main leading ladies. You have Betty Draper, the ideal housewife. Joan Holloway is the femme fatale who happens to be conflicted about her role in society. Then you have Peggy Olsen, the innocent copywriter. I identify with her the most because she is just trying to make it and move up in her career.

First up is Betty Draper

Next is Joan Holloway

Last but not least Peggy Olsen

Just for poops and hah hahs is my Mad Men makeover, which can be done here.

Progress, Progress, Progress…I’m integrating Sterling Cooper Y’all!
