Hello Paris!

If you follow my blog on Facebook through Networked Blogs , make sure you sign up to get the email notifications since Facebook is doing away with notifications.

Paris Fashion Week has begun and I am all kinds of excited. The majority of the looks are sooo good. I can't wait to show you. Very sophisticated and chic just like what you expect Paris to be. Dries Van Noten took a page out of the Prada book and showed a Mad Men inspired collection. Rue du Mail brought some fierceness to fashion week. Rochas was inspired by the 60s movie Cactus Flower. I could definitely see the 60s in the look. Balenciaga still showed the crazy tribal colors thing, but the clothes are more wearble this season. They aren't all boxy like seasons past. Manish Arora was beautiful and colorful. It was really crazy looking but in a good way. I like that Christopher is trying to finally , yes finally, take Balmain in a new direction, but he is still showing those boxy dresses that make even the hottest model look like an inverted isosceles triangle. Everybody loved Rick Owens. Well I did not. I was not into the sleeping bag look. The only person that does the sleeping bag look right is Norma Komali. Rick, you have failed me, and I am sad. :( Pictures are from Style.com and The Fashion Spot.

didn't love blamain so much, it felt like last year's collection!

I love Balmain, especially their jackets, but not too sure about Balenciaga's color scheme. Hey with the credit crunch we are getting more picky about who we like ;-) ~
