H & M are coming out with some more designer collaborations, but they are a secret? You won’t be able to find out until September 9th! They do have these sneaky videos to tease you, but I can’t really think of who it would be. One does kind of look like Daphne Guinness to me, but I doubt it.

OMG Sooo this weekend my blog went down…like all the way down to the point where nobody could access it. Now it is up and running again. Of course. Thanks to all of my blogging friends that helped me get the log back up. Love ya much!
Last week I told you I would try black lipstick. I did it and you can see the results in this video. I also talk about my blog feed, which is acting crazy, and a new part of the blog…
Introducing ASK TFAS! If you have a question about life, love, fashion, and beauty, just ASK TFAS! If i don’t know the question, I will refer to my trusty blogging friends and hopefully we can help you out. Every new season I put together a little sketchbook full of the latest casual trends that are ready-to-wear and easy to attain. I usually use UO catalogs because I get 2 sent to my house everytime (so it’s a lot easier to cut them up and feel guilt free because I save EVERYTHING). Cliche as it may be UO has stepped up it’s game over the past few years and it becomes more and more refined as time goes on. (Too bad the prices become more refined as well). So here are a few pages describing some top trends, looks, and key pieces that everyone should look into for the fall season coming up.
Also I strongly recommend to anyone to make this a habit. Buy yourself some nice little sketchbooks and keep your ideas on hand at all times. It keeps you focused on what you really like and avoids those moments where you buy something and never end up wearing it because you weren’t as fond of it as you though you were. Only keep the things that really catch your attention and you fall in love with. And do it every season to keep up with the progression of trends and so you can notice the directions in which things are going. Even if you just write some comments do it. It’s incredibly useful and it’s fun!

No! Kimora don’t go. I was bummed when I found out that Mrs. Fabulousity herself Kimora Lee is leaving Baby Phat after 14 years. I along with so many other fashionistas will miss Kimora and her fabulous clothes rock the runway in September for New York fashion week. Baby Phat was known to bring the biggest and baddest celebrities and concluded the end of fashion week in New York. Kimora seems very optimistic about the future though; and says she’s leaving the company she founded with her ex Russell Simmons to do bigger and better things.
Heres what Kimora had to say:
“After 14 years of conceiving and nurturing Baby Phat, it’s time for me to move on and further expand my other businesses and create a new phenomenon. I adore all those who have faithfully been with me since the beginning…We’re ready for our next journey together and we’re taking a whole new generation of incredible young women with us. Girl power unite!”
Get ‘em girl. I’m excited to see what you have in store in the upcoming months.

When I heard that Coco Rocha was marrying James Conran in a Zac Posen dress in Europe, I couldn’t wait to see the photos. I too dream of an European fantasy wedding. My friends think I’m crazy. Whatever…it will happen. Like I was saying. I couldn’t wait to see the photos, but something else has come out that is way better. Coco and her beau shot video footage of their nuptials. There are two versions, a long and short version, and they feature music from Avatar, so you know they are pretty epic. Enjoy!
This is my friend Chaz aka Toro y Moi’s new video for the song “Low Shoulder.” I think it is great…naturally. Apparently it has Ben Sherman’s wife in it, so that is really neat. Prepare to be freaked out! Toro y Moi is on Carpark Records. You can pick up the album on iTunes.
For the video to Toro Y Moi’s latest single “Low Shoulder” the directors Elisha Smith-Leverock and Chris Murdoch have drawn inspiration from everything from pulp magazines and Cinderella to sploshing and mono-brows. It’s a nod to Italo-horror flics form the 70s and 80s. It features an appearance by 60s it-girl Daphne Sherman, wife of the legendary mod tailor Ben Sherman, who stars as a demented ballroom dancing reject/ waitress.
“According to Chaz the song was written for his girlfriend asking her to not fall asleep whilst driving. We based the video on the idea of this sleep-deprived girl calling at a roadside diner for a coffee. Next thing you know she’s semi-conscious and experiencing some really weird sh**”
Low Shoulder was shot in studio and on location at the Marina Cafe on Mare Street, Hackney on a very low budget with the help of a rather energetic and like-minded crew.

With sequins, bows, runway looks, and gold chains, these Cynthia Rowley Band-aids are sure you cover your cut up in style. I love the fact that $1 of each sale goes to a charity. They are so pretty. I think I might buy some. You can get them from the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, Cynthia Rowley stores, and http://www.cynthiarowley.com. I know you guys are like why does she talk about Cynthia Rowley so much, but I really love her clothes, and she has been a style inspiration for me since I was in high school.
If you took a glance at my wardrobe, you would discover many of them – in any shade of color, high-wasted, skinny, with a boyfriend- or boot-cut. I think you know what I am talking about: jeans. There are so many different styles, shades and sizes, but just once in a blue moon you find the “one” which fits perfectly. What makes them so difficult to find are mainly personal body shapes.
And the female jeans can be as different as day and night, Levi’s discovered a system to fulfill every woman’s personal jeans-dream. A survey with 60.000 women and a 3D body scanner made it possible to analyze all these different female body shapes and to subdivide them into three main groups called “Curve ID”.
For this campaign, Peter Lindbergh, a well-known German photographer, shot several stars wearing their personal Levi’s in their Curve ID. For instance, Pixie Geldof who represents the mean shape, named “Demi Curve”, has a feminine body shape. The Swedish musician Lykke Li wears a “Slight Curve” and the German DJane Miss Nine, alias Kristin Schrot, presents her “Bold Curve”. But they didn’t only promote them. They are really positive about them and would even wear them in everyday life since the jeans fit like a second skin.
“Wear what fits. Get rid of the rest. It’s the Wear What Fits Event presented by the Levi’s® brand.
Ladies, we know there are moments in our lives when we realize things don’t fit anymore. That it’s time to pass that antique lamp, sweatshirt, throw rug, handbag or jeans into someone else’s life. Call it a new beginning. A more you, you.
Starting at 10am on Friday, August 27th stop by Bryant Park, NY and bring something in that doesn’t fit (which will go to Goodwill®) and at the same time, get something that does. A free pair of Levi’s® Curve ID jeans. New custom fits for women. Because hotness really does come in all shapes and sizes”

This is the second video in my video series. Check out video one if you missed it!
For Fall 2010, Tinsley designed a selection of modern silhouettes imbued with stylistic influences from the 1980s, all reminiscent of early rock glitz. The collection is crafted from soft leathers with silver metallic hardware, and includes five glam silhouettes infused with lingerie, lace and corsets. All products will be available at the Samantha Thavasa boutique on Madison Avenue and samathathavasausa.com.
All the bags are named after 80s rock bands like Metallica and Def Leopard. All the bags are over $200. The Chanel inspired White Snake and Poison bags are $350 and $295. I think my favorite is the Poison bag because it comes in tan, blue, and black. You can also wear it with a number of things.
I am so glad Barneys NY finally has a CEO. They need someone to help run the company and save it. Hopefully Mark Lee can be that person.
Barneys New York has named Mark Lee, the former head of Gucci, as its new CEO. The appointment of the 47-year-old takes effect Sept. 1. Former CEO Howard Socol retired in 2008, and since then a committee of seven executives has run the company.
Lee started his career at Saks Fifth Avenue in 1984 and went on to hold top positionts with the Giorgio Armani and Jil Sander brands
Since I am in the lipstick mood…here is video one of TFAS How to Style Video Series. I had to create a video series for my video class this summer. Here is video one.
Not like smoker’s lips, but black lipstick. I have been seeing it done around the blogosphere, and I think it is about time I tried it out. I am going to go to the store, buy some and come back with my findings. Meanwhile…do you think this is something you would wear or have you tried it? I want to know what my readers think about this lipstick.
In the meantime, some style inspirations:
