The Pour La Victoire Women’s Tatienne Pump is the best pump to wear year round. You can wear this shoe with or without dark tights. The color is great on most skin tones, plus the cutouts and peep toe are super sexy. These shoes can be found at Endless for $118.77. Photo from Endless.
OMG! Watch Karen Elson, Raquel Zimmerman, designer Alber Elbaz, and two male models dance to Pitbull for Lanvin. This is the best fashion video I have seen in a long time. It is fun, cute, hip, and funky. Plus the fashion is great! Who doesn’t love a little Lanvin?
The fall/winter 2011/12 campaign video was shot by Steven Meisel. Who do you think was the better dancer? I think Karen has got Raquel beat, but Alber really did it towards the end. He is too cute for words. Also what is up with the sudden influx of fashion videos? I’m not complaining.
My mom and I cannot wait for the Missoni for Target collection. We are super duper excited! I mean who doesn’t love the idea of getting Missoni for less…much less than it normally would cost you? This video shows you some of the cool items up for sale. September 13th can’t come soon enough.
My friends at Obvilux have once again refined the online shopping experience with StyleSays. StyleSays is a website that lets you shop and talk about your purchases with others. You can give or get recommendations for certain items that you or others are interested in. You will also be notified when the price drops on any item you have saved. One of the best features of the website is the Facebook page, where I am an admin. You can find all kinds of shopping deals there. Click here to get and invite, and then go and like StyleSays on Facebook. If you hurry up and invite three of your friends, you will have a chance at winning a pair of designer Yotam Solomon’s flats or heels. The winner will be announced on 9-15-2011.
INC Editor at Large Anna Dello Russo shows us a behind the scenes look at the new INC International Concepts collection. This is a really cool video. I can’t wait to see what she does with this line since it has been one of my favorite Macy’s lines for a while now.
Gone are the days that full eyebrows were tweezed to death. A full set of eyebrows are now the must have beauty accessory. Just like men with a full head of hair. Thick, natural eyebrows make any woman look healthier and younger in an instant. Eyebrows can either make or break your look more than anything. It frames your face, especially your eyes. This season, runways have embraced thick and natural looking eyebrows.
A couple of years ago I spoke to Dov Charney about starting a plus size clothing line. Now he is doing a plus size model contest. They want to find someone to model their new size XL (12-14). It will be interesting to see who they pick, and what happens from here. I wonder if this is successful, which it totally is already, if they will extend their sizes some more.
Ok so Mercedes and Santana couldn’t make it to the party, but at least they could have kept some kind of consistency. I mean I love to see Artie dance, but isn’t he supposed to be in a wheelchair, and didn’t Sam leave the show? Whatever. Everybody still looks hot. The full version is a whole lot better than the trailer, and the trailer was hot. I love the runway action, and Mike’s smooth dance moves. Yes I know I am being a huge Gleek by mentioning the characters tv show names and not their real names. Deal with it!
I was at my friend’s house recently, and the conversation turned to filling in eyebrows. Even though my friend has great brows, I suddenly realized that filling in your eyebrows can become somewhat of a scary art school project, but it doesn’t have to be this way. Thankfully GossMakeupArtist came up with a great tutorial for filling in your eyebrows that is easy peasy lemon squeezy. Check it out!

I recently received an email about a new brand of organic nail lacquer called Curtsy & Bow. The email piqued my interest because the information stated that the lacquer lasted up to 10 days and was 3free ( dbp, toluene, and formaldehyde free). Of course you know I had to ask for a sample.
I was quite surprised at how fast my samples came. Conveniently they arrived in my mailbox the day I was going to repaint my nails. I hurriedly opened my package and was delighted to see not one, but two bottles of Curtsy & Bow nail lacquer from the inaugural Yacht Club Collection. After examining the nail lacquer, I am pretty sure that Curtsy & Bow founder Melissa Huynh is on to something here.
That is the rumor going around. I first heard about Marc Jacobs leaving Louis Vuitton for Dior about a month ago and brushed it off. Now WWD is reporting on the rumor. If they are reporting on it, then the rumor must be true, or at least have some thread of truthiness. Jacobs is supposed to take buzz around the Dior label and turn it from bad, i.e. Galliano drama and lackluster runway reviews, to great. While Ricardo Tissci is still in the running for the job, Jacobs is seen as the new front runner. Phoebe Philo will reportedly take his place at Louis Vuitton, while still running things at Celine. One door opens and another one closes.
Model Coco Rocha gives us a behind the scenes look at the new Karl Lagerfeld for Macy’s collection that is due in store on August 31. I can’t wait for this collection. It looks like it will be amazing. Coco looks so good modelling the collection in Lagerfeld’s person home studio.
If Karl Lagerfeld isn’t your thing, it has just been announced, on WWD, that Giambattista Valli will be the next Macy’s designer collaborator starting on October 26.
