When most people hear the name Peter Pan, they often think of a favorite childhood book or Disney cartoon. When a fashionista hears the words Peter Pan, they often think about one thing … the Peter Pan collar. Once a favorite of schoolchildren; full-grown adult women have now embraced the trend with open arms.
This past Saturday, before I went to the SC. State Fair to see The Roots perform an awesome concert, I went to the Carolina Bloggin’ at Gervais & Vine. The food was amazing, the speakers were amazing, and the sponsors were amazing. Thanks Firefly Vodka and thanks That Teowonna for holding this wonderful event again. I got to meet some new bloggers and see some old friends. If you have just started a blog, or have had one for quite some time, go to a blogging conference. They are so much fun, you get a wealth of knowledge, and you get to meet a bunch of great and awesome people.
Check out the rest here.

Henri Bendel’s Open See has been a make it or break it chance of a lifetime for many designers in the past. If you think you have what it takes read the photo below and make your way to the store! Good luck!
Photo from D. Auxilly
D. Auxilly For All Women Holiday Collection has just launched, and it is hot, hot, hot! The clothes range in size from 0-20 and in price from $98-$398. You have probably seen one of these dresses before, but had no clue who designed them. Auxilly dresses have been worn by Nicky Minaj, Trina, Brandy Norwood, Dawn Richards, Kelly Choi , Kelly Rowland, and Angela Simmons. D. Auxilly has been seen in Seventeen.com, Zink, Vogue Italia, and I can see why.
Yesterday I went to the grand opening of the brand new Versona Accessories store at the Village of Sandhill shopping center in Columbia, South Carolina. I wasn’t too familiar with this store. All I knew about it was that a friend had visited one in Charlotte, NC and loved it. She practically raved about it, so when a PR rep for the company invited me to the store I had to sneak a peek.

Sofia Vergara’s son Manolo tapes his mother being all kinds of cute and funny in the airport as they make their way to New York City to shoot the campaign for her new Kmart clothing line. She is such a fun woman and the video shows that. I love the fact that her son shot the video too. I looked at her clothing line on the Kmart website, but I want to see it in person because the clothing line comes in straight and plus sizes. Have you seen the clothes? Do you like them? How do they fit? Do you love this video as much as I do? It makes me interested in the clothes.
While I was in New York for fashion week, I checked out two of the Odin stores because a friend of mine works there. I had heard about this store before, but I had never taken a peek inside. The menswear store was amazing beyond belief. I am so glad my friend works there because I love their menswear and there bath, beauty, and home products too. I already told my friend which candle I want for my birthday. This fall’s menswear is already in stores. See pictures from the lookbook below. Photos from Odin.

Let Stiletto Season Begin!
I am still on a mini blog hiatus. But while I have a little bit of time to post something, I thought it would be great to post this picture of a model’s foot at the end of fashion week. It is no secret that models take all sorts of beatings during fashion week from crazy hair and makeup to crazy clothes and shoes. This picture shows just how cray cray their feet look at the end of the long month.
I am in the midst of an intense grad school session because this is my final semester. Posts will come in as I can get the time to do them. Also the Tumblr blog is updated regularly since I queue those posts in advance.
Here is a lovely guest post from our friends at Boticca.com.
As we wave goodbye to summer and prepare to welcome winter, it’s
not just our wardrobes that need a fashion re-think, no ladies it’s our
While summer brought with it the carefree world of eye-popping
clutches and barely there totes, this winter sees a more sedate and
relaxed fashion forecast. While the catwalks may usher in ensembles
in everything from berry tones to disco lame’s, it’s the job of our
bags to bring things back down to earth somewhat. That’s not to
say that our accessories cant envelop fashions finest trends, perish
the thought, but rather than dive straight in to the trend pool, they
should merely dip a toe.
One of the main trends that I, along with most of the fashion-focused
world, am coveting this season is ladylike chic. A perfect antidote to
summers bold and often brash looks, this season it’s time to dust off
that etiquette book and start dressing like an episode of Mad Men.
No bag is finer for finishing off this look than the Rocco Black With
Fox by Wilbur & Gussie. Made from elegant crocodile printed leather,
this box bag is old school with a twist. If it’s something for evening
you’re after then look to World of Wonderful’s World of Wonderful
Camel Clutch Bag. A virtually kissable soft peach, this classic design
sums this trend up perfectly.
Moving on several decades, this winter we also visit the 1970s. An
eclectic time full of fun and frivolity, get in the spirit with steven
harkin’s BoHo small evening bag. Ideal for day or night, this electric
pink shoulder bag will brighten up even the darkest winter days.
Last on our style tour is the Navajo trend. Circling round fashion’s
periphery for quite some time, this season fashion has fallen in love
with all things Navajo. With browns, reds and beiges making up the
key hues of this fantastically fun trend, Joanna Maxham’s Bootcamp
in Sun Kiss slouchy tote is bang on trend.

Yesterday, I headed down to 1022 Senate Street to see what the Urban Outfitters Store on Tour was about. Well it was great seeing how they turned the two truck trailers into a mini store. The clothes were nice as always. I almost bought some black and white film for my camera. Instead I bought a tribal inspired tank top. Check out the rest of my review and my Instagram photos below.
A few days ago, I showed you the preview for this video. Here is the final product. I love it. Beyonce is amazing. I had to play this video a second time because I loved it so much, and I will probably watch it again. I must perfect my booty pop. What are your thoughts?
Nineteen year old model Rose Cordero is pregnant. You might remember that that is the same age that fellow black model Jourdan Dunn got pregnant. Dunn’s career, and the careers of numerous other models have survived their pregnancies in recent years, so I don’t think Cordero will have any problems. Plus her star is on the rise. She will have time to bounce back. I was wondering why I didn’t notice her much during the recent fashion weeks. Photo fro HuffPost.
