Sports Illustrated bikini model Kate Upton shows us that she does know how to model clothes in this month’s Vogue. I hope she gets more high fashion modeling gigs after this feature in Vogue. Photo from Refinery29.

I love this motorcycle jacket from Neil Barrett. Everyone needs a classic leather bomber/motorcycle jacket, but at
$1925 $1313 at Stylebop…idk my bff Jill.
I love the UO Plimsoll Sneaker from Urban Outfitters because it is the perfect summer sneaker. It goes with everything like maxi dresses, sundresses, skinny jeans, denim shorts. Get these cute kicks for $18.
Reworking or adding to and taking away things from your vision board can sure make you emotional. I am always talking about vision boards. Always. I love them. When I started them a few years ago, I had no idea how influential they would be on my life. I am almost on the verge of tears looking at some of the things that I have done and finished and some of the things I have yet to do and am steadily praying for to happen. The tiny cork board is filled, basically too crowded for words, with post it notes, phrases, and pictures. Sometimes I wonder will I ever find love, will I move to NYC and be successful, will I ever fulfill my hopes, dreams, and desires? Something inside of me will always say no, but then something inside of me will always say yes. Not just because I pray for these things to happen, but because I walk by my vision board each day, and see the things that I have achieved and the things I will achieve. Photo from here.
Hey guys! Remember when I first told you all about SocialCam? Well I have been doing mini reviews of products that I buy or receive as a gift. I will also shoot mini videos at events that I attend. Check out my first few videos.

On Sunday, I along with Make Me Over Eb and XO Gallivanting Boy went to the Who Got Flava Hair Show at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, and we had a BLAST!!! It was a far cry from the hair show last week. This show was more along the lines of a Bronner Brothers type hair show event. I mean you know the salons had to bring it if they were going to win $10,000!
Washington Roberts is a true friend of the blog on the internet and in real life, so don’t think this compliment is biased. His clothes are really good, and they just keep getting better and better everyday. He always has a great eye for color, but that combined with the excellent selection of fabrics really make this collection. What can I say, I’m impressed yet again. Check him out at http://www.WashingtonRoberts.com
Check out Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls on the cover of W magazine. Some people don’t like how photoshopped they are, but they still look great on the joint covers. Congrats! Photo from The Cut.
If you have wide feet it can be difficult to find on-trend shoes that fit. Looking at beautiful shoes can be so disheartening when you know they’ll be too tight. But with so many retailers to choose from, comfortable, stylish shoes are becoming easier to find.
Yet still so many of us wear ill-fitting shoes and not just those of us with wide feet. Recent studies proved this as 8/10 women asked own 9 pairs of shoes they’ve worn once, twice or not at all. Now that’s a lot of shoes! To ease the pain of wearing ill-fitting shoes it’s a good idea to measure your feet prior to buying. With the likes of DUO offering shoes in a range of widths, from narrow to wide, it is possible to find the perfect pair. Grab a tape measure and check out this guide to measuring your feet correctly…
The Houpla Leather Sandal from Topshop is super gorg! It is made from real leather and only costs $36! Can you even believe that?!?!? Get this summer sandal while it is smoking hot!
Prabal Gurung’s Woolsilk Printed Pencil Skirt is gorgeous. It is beyond pretty. I love the floral print and the color of the flowers, but at $659
which is the sale price not the full price I just can’t do it. Also I wish it came in plus sizes, but then it really would be tempting me. If it just so happens to be in your budget, catch it at Browns.
Hey guys! I don’t know if you noticed, but I took a little blog hiatus, vacay, whatever you want to say. It was much needed, and I’m glad I did it because I got a lot of work done around the house. I scrubbed the heck out of my bathroom, and I got a good amount of rest after Columbia Style Week. Those five days were intense.
Tonight I went to the Night in Paris Hair Show. I’ve been to hair shows in the past, and it had been a while, so I was excited to attend.
The show was very interesting. It was held at the Columbia Metropolitain Convention Center. There were a lot of vendors and attendence was great. There was a lot going on though.
The show didn’t seem as organized as it should have been. The DJ had to start the music over for several different acts. We couldn’t hear the mic over the music. The lights kept turning on and off at the wrong time.
The motivational speaker had a great message, but the message was lost because people were looking for excitement not a business sermon. The barber competition was more exciting. I loved looking at the barbers create designs in under 14 mins.
Masion Martin Margiela is the next designer to collaborate with H & M. This is super duper exciting! The collection for men and women will come out on November 15, 2012 and will be released online and at 230 stores. I can’t wait!!!!! Check out this teaser video below.
Thanks goes out to Mikelle from Gallivanting Boy for taking this awesome accidental action shot of me at the Bridal Show on Saturday. Check out the Lanvin ad below from Nitrolicious.
Tonight was the finale of the first annual Columbia Style Week! I had a fun time meeting a ton of new people like Mike Kelton of Us Weekly, and hanging out with old friends. The event turned out great, and the finale outside at Sakitumi was really pretty. Note to the CSW crew for next year… more lights in the front and back if you are going to be outside and definitely more chairs.
This morning I got up early and went to the Columbia Style Week Bridal Show. I saw a lot of cool vendors, and met up with some of my friends. I also met a few new people. That is what I love about a good fashion event. You will always meet a new person or two. Inside the runway space, which was held at the Tapps Building, the lighting and scenery were very beautiful and had that classy wedding reception feel to it. Anyway I saw some great bridal fashion for the groom, ring bearer, bridesmaids, and of course the bride. Five local bridal companies along with the help of Weddings 101 put together a great show. The only problem was this…
Columbia Style Week rolls along with night four. The crowds are heavier and the photo pit is jumping. It is so good to see people embrace fashion in Columbia. I know that I’ve covered local events in the past, but fashion in my hometown in very much nonexistent, so the fact that people are showing out for a 5 day fashion event is HUGE! Check out the designer reviews below.
