Cool Beauty Products From The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is still going on, but it ends soon. Don’t miss out on this really awesome sale. I found a few beauty products that I am either interested in or need to re-up on. Nordstrom is one of those cool spots for beauty products. They have expensive, luxury brands, and other not so well know brands. I always find something interesting in their beauty section. I have bought some perfumes from there. I also like their large supply of MAC and Kiehl’s products. I love me some Kiehl’s If you haven’t checked them out, go to Nordstrom or Nordstrom.com. Remember that Nordstrom has free shipping and free returns online.

Beauty Bit-OZ Naturals Hyaluronic Acid Serum For Anti-Aging

FTC: I was given this bottle of OZ Naturals Hyaluronics Acid Moisturizing Serum by Brandbacker.com. This is an honest review.

You guys have to get this. It is a pretty smooth serum that has some great anti-aging properties. The ingredients are great too. No alcohols, sulfates, or parabens. It is $15.79 on Amazon, and they have prime shipping. I have been using this on my hands, and the skin definitely looks brighter. I am going to continue to use it. I put it on my face and hands before I moisturize, but after I use toner. I received this awesome product from Brandbacker.com.

Beauty Bit- Unboxing My Summer 2015 Walmart Beauty Box

Walmart Beauty Box

FTC: I paid for the Walmart Beauty Box myself. This is an honest review.

I just got my Walmart Beauty Box in the mail.  As always, the boxes are “free”, but you do have to pay $5 for each box. That adds up to $20 a year since you get a box four times a year with each new season. This box was a little more exciting than my last one. There are better items in the box this time. I think I am going to actually use most of them. Yay!! You can find out more about the Walmart Beauty Box here.

Beauty Bit- Unboxing and Trying My New Schwarzkopf Ultime Hair Products

natural hair
I received these Schwarzkopf Ultime products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes a few weeks ago. I shot the unboxing video, but I didn’t get to post it. You can find these products exclusively at your local Walmart. Supermodel Claudia Schiffer helped create the line. I was worried that these products wouldn’t work on my natural African-American textured hair, but at least one of them did.

Beauty Bit- I Finally Blogged About My BH Cosmetics Haul

BH Cosmetics HaulFTC: I paid for these products from BH Cosmetics myself. This is an honest review.

Hello everyone.

It has been a long, long time since I really blogged. I am now done with school. You can see some of the images from my final portfolio show on Instagram @thefatandskinny. I am going to try and blog more regularly now. My first blog post back will be this quick BH Cosmetics haul. I bought some amazing items from BH Cosmetics and I just wanted to let you know about them. All three items ( BH Floral Blush Duo in Tulip, the Contour & Blush Palette 2, and the 10 pc Sculpt and Blend Brush Set) got amazing reviews. See my haul video below.

Beauty Bit-NYX Cosmetics 3C Conceal Correct Contour Palette

FTC: I paid for the NYX Cosmetics 3C Conceal Correct Contour Palette myself. This is an honest review.

I recently bought the NYX Cosmetics 3C Conceal Correct Contour Palette from Ulta, and I love it. I can use it for soooo many things. You can too. I have used it for my eyebrows, for contouring my face, and hiding hyperpigmentation. I recommend this product because it really does conceal, correct, and contour.

Beauty Bit- Instanatural Argan Oil and Instanatural Vitamin C Serum Review

FTC: I was sent the Argan Oil and the Vitamin C Serum from Instanatural and Brandbacker. This is an honest review.

Hey everyone! I received some more products from Instanatural. The InstaNatural Organic Argan Oil and the InstaNatural Vitamin C Serum 20% For Face – With Hyaluronic Acid, Ferulic Acid, Rosehip Oil, Seabuckthorn Oil & Vitamin E
. The argan oil is great for the skin and the hair. It takes the redness out of my stretch marks and moisturizes my skin and my hair. It also smells great too.

The vitamin c serum is an anti-aging product. When I used it with the argan oil on my face, my skin glowed. I never heard so many compliments on my skin before. The argan oil helped diminish dark spots on my skin and the vitamin c serum brightened my face.

I loved these products and highly recommend them. Actually I highly recommend Instanatural’s products because I haven’t found one that is bad yet, and I think I have tried about four or five of them.

Beauty Bit- The Red Lip Ruled The 2015 Oscars

Margot Robbie
The red lip ruled the 2015 Oscars. From Margot Robbie to Emma Stone- who I was told is wearing Revlon of course- red lips were everywhere. Now a few ladies did opt for the neutral, natural lip, but their beauty looks didn’t stand out to me. It was the Oscars for crying out loud! If there ever were a time to go red, last night was it. Below you will find a bunch of red lip products to choose from with various price points. I picked out some lip glosses, lip sticks, and more because I know everyone doesn’t automatically want a lipstick. Photo from here.

Beauty Bit – Cure Acne and Dry Skin With The Instanatural Dead Sea Mud Mask

Thanks to Brandbacker.com, I was able to try another product from Instanatural. I have really been enjoying their products. I’m four products in and have yet to hate one. The product I am reviewing today is amazing. The Instanatural Dead Sea Mask is phenomenal. I love how it tamed my oily skin and made my pimples go away. You can find it on the Instanatural website for $25.77 or Amazon for $24.97 plus Prime shipping. Either way, I love it! I plan on using this product again tonight. Watch the video for more.

Beauty Bit-Rihanna Was A Natural Beauty At The 2015 Grammys

rihanna grammys
Rihanna was a natural beauty at the 2015 Grammys.  She had a neutral smokey eye and nude lips. That’s it. That’s all.  Nothing more than that, and the look suited her.  I think this is a look that I would like to see more of on the red carpet and in everyday life. You don’t have to look beat all day every day. I think we forget that sometimes in our quest to have the hottest makeup look.

Two British Beauty Brands Rocking My Socks #frostyvoxbox

British Beauty Brands
I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Late last year I received the #frostyvoxbox from Influenster. In that box, I received a few things from two British beauty brands that have a few products that I love. The first products I saw were from Rimmel London. I love Rimmel London products, and I wish they would expand their line to include more foundations and powders for women of color. The products I got were the Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover ($7.49) and the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner ($4.49). The eye makeup remover is great, but the eyeliner is even better. I actually have been using this eyeliner for over a year now. It is so good for my oily eyelids. It dries fast, has full on color, and doesn’t attach itself to my oily upper eyelid. I love to buy these in bulk even though they last me a long time. Also check out the Rimmel Stay Matte powder and lipsticks. They were in my box, but those products are some good.

How to Transition to Natural Hair Week- The Dreaded Big Chop!

transition to natural hair
This week I am going to be featuring a series of YouTube videos that helped my transition to natural hair. My natural hair journey wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be, and I really think that was because of the many YouTube videos that I watched every night. I have been natural for two years now, and I finally big chopped about one year and change into my journey. I know for some that may seem like an eternity when you are used to having relaxed hair. I hope this video series helps on your own natural hair journey.
