I was so grateful to receive a full sized sample of the Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask. This mask was sooooo good. It smelled so fragrant when I opened the jar up. I couldn’t help myself. I just took another whiff of the mask. Like right now. I sniffed it. It is $25 on Amazon, and is a Prime item.
This mask dried my oily skin up. When I was done with the mask, my skin looked bright, clean, and very clear. It didn’t look anything like the hot greasy mess that walked into the bathroom earlier. The mask is supposed to be used for 15-20 minutes, and all you have to do is use the tiniest amount. I have a feeling that the 4 oz. jar is going to last me a long time.
I recently received the And I Don’t Care: Whipped Hair & Body Moisturizing Butter from Heritage 1933, and it is another winner. This $30 whipped product works great on both the hair and the body and is made from natural ingredients. Heritage 1933 is a company that is trying to empower women. For ever purchase, the company will give free hair care products to women and children in need. They also have other bath, beauty, and hair products on their website. Make sure you check out their body scrubs and kinky curly weave.
As you may remember from a few months ago, I am now a paid subscriber for the Beautycon Box. I love these boxes and recently did a video and blog post about my first Beautycon Box– The Bethany Mota themed box. They give you over $100 worth of products and gift cards to awesome stores. This box was curated by YouTube beauty guru and internet phenom Grav3yardGirl.
I found out about the #BeautyConBFF beauty box on Snapchat-follow me at thefatandskinny- and decided to get one to unbox for you! Honestly…let’s be all the way real here. I saw what was in the box and said, “OK BeautyCon! Take my money!!!!” So they did. They took it all, but I can’t even be mad at them. Inside my box are items from Nike, Colourpop, Garnier, Maybelline, and more!
Vivica Fox Cornrow Caps might just be a dream come true. I’ve never seen anything like this before, and it’s really exciting. A part of me is like wow this is really really really freaking weird, but then a whole nother part of me is like this is kind of convenient, and I might need to go out and procure me one of these contraptions. Hello everybody. This video of me unboxing my winter 2016 Walmart Beauty Box is kinda late because of the holidays and such. I purchased this beauty box myself. It is $5 a box, soooo $20 a year. The $5 covers the shipping and handling. Not bad. I usually suggest this box over other beauty boxes, especially if this is your first time ordering one.
FTC: Influenster sent me this can of Dove Dry Spray. This is an honest review.
Happy holidays everyone! I just received my can of Dove Dry Spray from Influenster for the Unilever Dry Spray VoxBox challenge, and I couldn’t be happier. This isn’t my first time trying Dove Dry Spray. I received a sample earlier this year, and I loved it.
Ok guys and dolls! Please get me out of this hair dilemma. I need your help in picking out a yaki lace front wig. I have been looking at different yaki lace front wigs for months. Since I am natural, and very fond of protective styles, I want a wig that will mimic straightened hair so I don’t actually have to straighten my hair. I am so afraid of damage. After being natural since 2012, I want to keep my hair growing and strong. Protective styles, like twists and wigs, help my hair to grow because I am not playing in it or adding heat to it all the time. The thing I like about yaki lace front wigs is that they look more natural on my head. Sometimes I want a wig that looks like it could be my hair.
As usual, I have purchased a new Walmart Beauty Box, and so I decided to unbox it for you. You can get these boxes for about $20 a year. You get four Walmart Beauty Boxes for each season and you only pay $5 for shipping and handling. I actually like some of the products that were used since I had used some of them before. I also like how I received a ton of coupons to save money when I go shopping. Yippee!!!
Hey everybody! I have a new product review for you. Body Merry sent me three free products to try via Brandbacker.com. I was excited to try them because they worked on beauty issues that I have been dealing with, and I had never heard of Body Merry before whose name slightly sounded like Bloody Mary in my head so I was like yea I will try these products. Body Merry has a bunch of products on Amazon and offer Prime shipping!I really wish I could have done a video review for you all. I had house guests this weekend, so that wouldn’t have happened. Qui êtes vous Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme? I have been looking for the new matte liquid lipsticks everywhere. There was a crazy sale on them last week, and all of the CVS’s sold out of them. It didn’t matter because a ton of other stores online and otherwise have sold out of them. They are retailed at $8.99. I think that is very affordable for this kind of drugstore beauty product. I have tried the new Milani Matte Lipsticks before. They are great. That and the fact that the lip creme’s have been getting rave reviews are the reasons why I need to find these things!!!
FTC: I paid for these products myself. This is an honest review.
CurlyGirlTravels wanted me to do a budget beauty video, so I did it! I am very passionate about budget beauty, even though I love fancy beauty products…I know there are other products that are just as good-if not great- for less. In this video, I will show you products from Maybelline, NYX, Rimmel, Black Radiance, and Wet n Wild. I use these products everyday and have been using most of them for years. All of these products are $15 or less and most are below $10. You an find these products just about anywhere on the internet or at your local BSS( beauty supply store), drugstore, or big box chain store like Walmart.
Hey everyone! Here is a Sephora haul video for you guys. I haven’t done one in a while. I recently went to Sephora in Atlanta when I went to the TCFStyle Expo and bought a bunch of items. I actually bought more than I wanted. I went in that store determined to keep my wallet in check. Sike! I failed. I went in for one item and came out with four. Anyway. Here are the items that I bought, and a link where you can get the items. I am so excited to use these products. If you have any tips or questions leave them below in the comments.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is still going on, but it ends soon. Don’t miss out on this really awesome sale. I found a few beauty products that I am either interested in or need to re-up on. Nordstrom is one of those cool spots for beauty products. They have expensive, luxury brands, and other not so well know brands. I always find something interesting in their beauty section. I have bought some perfumes from there. I also like their large supply of MAC and Kiehl’s products. I love me some Kiehl’s If you haven’t checked them out, go to Nordstrom or Nordstrom.com. Remember that Nordstrom has free shipping and free returns online.
You guys have to get this. It is a pretty smooth serum that has some great anti-aging properties. The ingredients are great too. No alcohols, sulfates, or parabens. It is $15.79 on Amazon, and they have prime shipping. I have been using this on my hands, and the skin definitely looks brighter. I am going to continue to use it. I put it on my face and hands before I moisturize, but after I use toner. I received this awesome product from Brandbacker.com.
I just got my Walmart Beauty Box in the mail. As always, the boxes are “free”, but you do have to pay $5 for each box. That adds up to $20 a year since you get a box four times a year with each new season. This box was a little more exciting than my last one. There are better items in the box this time. I think I am going to actually use most of them. Yay!! You can find out more about the Walmart Beauty Box here.
I received these Schwarzkopf Ultime products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes a few weeks ago. I shot the unboxing video, but I didn’t get to post it. You can find these products exclusively at your local Walmart. Supermodel Claudia Schiffer helped create the line. I was worried that these products wouldn’t work on my natural African-American textured hair, but at least one of them did. (more…)
Y’all I finally bought the $5 bottle of Lottabody Curl and Style Milk. I now see why everyone was raving about it. This product keeps my hair sooooo soft and manageable. You can use it for twist outs too. That is what I did. I used it on my twists and on my wash and gos.
