Midweek Music Break- Ok Go “I Won’t Let You Down”

Ok Go always has the best music videos and their latest for ” I Won’t Let You Down” is amazing. The video is synchronized with dancers and weird scooter/unicycle things. The video was also shot with a DRONE!?!? Talk about cray cray. I think this video was shot somewhere in Asia. Groove to this song during your work week and into your weekend.

Design Collective for Evans S/S15 Fashion Show

I know I am late to the party-preparing for finals y’all, but I had to post this. The Design Collective for Evans S/S15 fashion show was the first time a plus size retailer had shown at London Fashion Week, and that is big news. I mean they literally made history. A lot of the clothes in this collection are super cute. I love the colors, the laser cut skirts, the fabrics that went from really sheer to really solid. I can’t wait to see how they translate this to their website next season.

Beauty Bit- Temporary Hair Color For Natural Hair

I love temporary hair color for natural hair because you can spray it in and then wash it out. I have been using some sprays that I recently got from the BSS and my local Sally Beauty Supply. The only problem I have found is that it sometimes gets hard and crusty, so I let it dry and then kind of knock the flakes before I go. You can also use hair chalk and mousse. This is the temporary hair color I use from Sally Beauty Supply. In MissKenK’s video, she shows you how to properly spray and chalk the hair. Enjoy! Photo from Sally Beauty Supply!

This is my favorite brand of temporary hair color!

I Shot My First Fashion Film For Lexis-Style!!!

Lexis-Style

Over the weekend, I did something I never thought I would ever do. I have always dreamed of shooting a fashion film, but I never had the opportunity to do so. One of my friends asked me to shoot her styling videos for her. She is going by Lexis-Style, so be sure to check her out. I love the outfits she wears to school everyday. She really lets her personality shine through her outfits. Follow her here. I have to thank her for this experience because it was fun and challenging. Moving from location to location. Shooting guerrilla style in the streets. I loved it! I can’t wait to do it again. Photo from here. View the short and long versions below.

Beauty Bit- Perlier Volcanic Thermal Spa Thermo Renewing Scrub Review

I received the Perlier Volcanic Thermal Spa Thermo Renewing Scrub from iFabbo weeks ago, but wasn’t able to review it until this weekend, and I can honestly say that  I love it.  The scrub is made with volcanic stones that don’t feel like they are striping my skin. Actually the thick liquid texture of the scrub makes my skin feel very soft and smooth after I exfoliate. I used it on my feet, and I had my dad use it on his feet. We both liked how smooth our skin was afterwards, so I know this is definitely a product I will be using to combat fall/winter dryness. If you remember I tried their Lemon Sorbet product and loved that as well. Perlier makes some great beauty products, and they are all available on HSN. Make sure you check them out and don’t forget that you can get $5 off with coupon code iFabbo5.

Beauty Bit-I Did The Sephora Color IQ and Bought the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Foundation

I went to the mall and did the Sephora Color IQ thing and ended up buying the uber expensive Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Foundation. It really does make my skin look smooth, but it also left it looking ashy since it has a really matte finish. I also think the Color IQ machine scanner thingy matched me wrong. Watch my video to hear about the rest of my experience with the Sephora Color IQ.

Beauty Bit- Design Essentials Natural Line

Hey everybody! I tried these products from the Design Essentials Natural line that I received in a gift bag at Fro Fashion Week, and while I think they work great for some, they didn’t work that well for me. That is why you have to try hair products to see what works. Just because this line works well with most of the people you know, doesn’t mean it will work well for you. It was horrible on my hair, and was quite disappointed because I had heard such wonderful things about these products. Don’t let this review scare you though. Your results might be very different from my own. I think I will eventually try it again in the future.

You can find the Design Essentials Natural line at Walgreens, Walmart, Sally’s, beauty supply stores, and other drug/beauty stores.
You can also find it here:http://www.designessentials.com/natural
