Universal Thread is big box store Target’s answer to inclusive denim and style. The new line of denim and accessories- which debuts on February 4th, is set to make a big splash in the industry. The line is affordable, super stylish, comes in various sizes, and the ads are super inclusive.
Target’s Who What Wear Collection is chock full of amazingness and it comes in plus sizes too. Also Target’s other new lines are really great too, but this collection is so good. I went to the store with mom and I wanted to get these pants. The Who What Wear Collection Tapered Leg Patent Papaerbag Trouser is calling my name. I am so mad I didn’t get these pants. The only reason I didn’t get them is because I am still on my weight loss journey and every time I buy pants or skirts, they end up falling off of me the next week.
FTC: eShakti gave me this skirt for free to review.
Where Have I Been and What I’m Wearing
Hey Everybody! It has been a long time since I wrote a blog post, but I have been traveling and I was battling a bad cold. I really didn’t feel like writing blog posts while I was hacking up my lungs. Anyway. eShakti sent me this super cute lobster applique skirt back in February. I couldn’t take pictures of it because I was sick, but I tried it on and it fit.
Missguided is another retailer bringing the 90s back with slip dresses. I haven’t seen these types of dresses in a long time. I remember when cami dresses, slip dresses or camisoles-depending on who is talking about them- worn over white tees were all the rage. Camisole dresses were really easy to wear because all you had to do, depending on the season, is wear them by themselves or with a tee or turtleneck. If it was slightly chilly, you could wear a long cardigan or duster coat with one. The beauty in these dresses is that when you can dress them up or down depending on how fancy they look. Some can even be one to a formal event, and you can wear them with a lot of different types of shoes depending on the mood. Slip dresses look great with Converse, boots, and heels.
Velvet is a big part of fall and winter wardrobes. It also looks great during the holiday season since it is so warm and inviting. Eloquii has some great velvet party looks for you to try this year. I am loving the great variety that these looks bring to any wardrobe. There is a little something for everyone to wear for many different occasions. Don’t be confused by me saying that these are just velvet party looks. These aren’t just velvet party looks. You can actually wear some of these pieces to work, out to eat with friends, to church, and even just as everyday seasonal items in your wardrobe. The thing I like about Eloquii is that they really are on trend with what is going on in the fashion industry at the moment. I know I say this every time I talk about them, but it is true. Eloquii is one of those plus size brands that you know is going to bring it’s A-game when it comes to the latest trends in fashion, and that their most current items are seriously going to be on point and have you looking your best. That is why they are always selling out or selling fast.
ASOS is an amazing store. I love all of the brands that they have on the website, but my favorite is ASOS Curve. Today’s video is about ASOS Curve and some of the other features on the ASOS website that I really like. ASOS is known for their trendy and edgy clothing. Their own plus size label, ASOS Curve, is known for the same.
Hey everyone! I hope you all are ready for the weekend! I decided to do a virtual shop tour of Forever 21 . Forever 21 is an amazing addition to Forever 21. When Forever 21 first launched their plus size line as Faith 21, I wasn’t felling it. Now I love it. Renamed Forever 21 Plus, this fast fashion plus size line is trendy and affordable. Forever 21 generally goes up to a size 3X. They don’t have While I wish these clothes occupied a larger portion of their physical store, they have a lot of options of cute clothes to choose from online. Today’s video is going to show that. Check it and a few of my favorite items out below.
So you guys know I am doing these shop tour videos? Last week I took you all to Witch Worldwide, and this week I am taking you all to Ashley Stewart. Ashley Stewart is a great store for plus size women. I like them because I think you can find a great variety of clothes there for different occasions. You can see that in the video below. I like that Ashley Stewart is one of those stores that caters to the plus size woman with a variety of items as well. They have lingerie, shoes, accessories, and more. This shop tour video shows the webstore, but you can also click the store locator link on the website to find a physical store near you.
Have you been looking for some plus size wrap dresses? I have. They have been my new obsession since I wore one to a wedding last year. A lot of people love how flattering they look. I like how comfortable they are. I also like how they make me look really curvy. I usually wear more fluid and loose things, but wrap dresses are tight at the top and loose on the bottom, so I can be sexy and comfy at the same time. I also don’t wear Spanx when I wear dresses like this because… I can’t stand tight things on my body and because the bottom of the dress just flows so freely.
Are you ready to check out my first virtual shop tour featuring Witch Worldwide? I decided that I was going to do little virtual tours of stores that are either exclusively plus size or sell some plus size items. I think it is important to talk about these different stores because the plus size market has grown a lot since I first started blogging in 2009. There are a lot of different options available. While there still could be more options available, it is a start.
Eloquii does plus size shirt dresses like nobody else. Nobody translates current high-end designer trends quite like Eloquii. I always say this, but I am telling you the truth. If you look at Rosie Assouline, Christian Siriano, Miu Miu, Delpozo… you will see those same trends in the hottest pieces at Eloquii. I don’t know why they are able to do a better job at it than other plus size brands, but I applaude them. Seriously. As a plus size woman, one of the main things I want from clothing brand is the latest trends. You know what I’m saying?! I don’t want the trends from two years ago, today.
Easter is right around the corner, so I am currently looking for plus size Easter dresses to wear to church. My search has not been a good one. I found a dress at Old Navy today, but I am going to return it because it does not fit right. It also is a bit too sheer. I can see through the lining. I am not trying to have that kind of moment at church.
Rachel Roy launched her new plus size line, RACHEL Rachel Roy Curvy, at Macy’s and I lost it. While this line doesn’t feature each and every piece from her straight size collection, it does feature a good bit of them. We have been asking major fashion designers for years to make a line for us that has the same if not similar items as the main line, and she did it.
Where would we be without ASOS and ASOS Curve plus size work pants? I haven’t done a Currently Craving blog post in while and suddenly got inspired by a conversation in one of my favorite Facebook groups. The ladies of the groups were discussing how hard it is to find pantsuits and decent, professional looking workwear in general. If it is hard for straight size women to find decent workwear, imagine how hard it is for plus sized women. Cue ASOS.
Plus size retailer Eloquii hits the style spot with their newest collection called The Sweet Spot. It looks like something out of a Wes Anderson movie, and I am in love. This has to be my favorite Eloquii collection yet. It probably has something to do with my love of Wes Anderson movies. I think the other reason I like this collection so much is because it isn’t something that other plus size clothing companies are making, and it fits in more with my own personal style.
Usually when I do a Currently Craving post I showcase one item and one item only. Very rarely do I showcase a bunch of items from one store, but I have been really loving the items that Forever 21 Plus has put out this fall. Maybe it is because I love fall and winter fashion more…IDK?
Have you been checking out British retailer New Look lately? I bought a few things from their Inspire line a few years ago, and then forgot about them. I don’t know why. They have cute plus size clothes at very affordable prices and wide width shoes. After listening to the panelists at The Curvy Fashionista Style Expo, I decided to hop back on the site. I am still loving their clothes, shoes, and prices. One of them things that I found was this uber cute, uber now suedette skater skirt. 70s boho chic is in right now, and this skirt embodies that look without going full boho. Sidenote: I am a fan of the boho look, but in moderation. This skirt is perfect to wear now, and it is super perfect to wear later with some tights and boots or chunky platform heels during the fall. The price is 19 British pounds which should be about 32 Us Dollars. You can’t beat that!
Charlotte Russe Plus came out a few months ago. I looked at the clothes, thought they were cute, and then forgot about them because life got hectic and what not. Now I am back. I saw a skirt on Garner Style’s Facebook page and thought I better take another look at this line. Charlotte Russe’s plus size section is really cute. I really love some of the basics and jumpsuits that they have on the site. I haven’t seen this collection in stores yet. If you have, let me know what you think about it below.

Plus size clothing line One One Three is back and it is bangin’!!!I don’t know if you remember One One Three, but I blogged about them here a few years ago. I have have always loved their clothes and style. I think they are edgy and fun. Tres cool y’all! You should check out their collection for the summer. The line features pants, tops, outerwear, and even swimsuits in that hot neon tropical Miami style that is super popular right now! The pieces are moderately priced and are UK sized 18-26. I think that should be a US 14-22. Photos from One One Three.
