Have you been checking out British retailer New Look lately? I bought a few things from their Inspire line a few years ago, and then forgot about them. I don’t know why. They have cute plus size clothes at very affordable prices and wide width shoes. After listening to the panelists at The Curvy Fashionista Style Expo, I decided to hop back on the site. I am still loving their clothes, shoes, and prices. One of them things that I found was this uber cute, uber now suedette skater skirt. 70s boho chic is in right now, and this skirt embodies that look without going full boho. Sidenote: I am a fan of the boho look, but in moderation. This skirt is perfect to wear now, and it is super perfect to wear later with some tights and boots or chunky platform heels during the fall. The price is 19 British pounds which should be about 32 Us Dollars. You can’t beat that!
This weekend I drove to Atlanta to attend The Curvy Fashionista Style Expo. I don’t know if you follow me on Snapchat @tfasblog, but all of my Atlanta adventures were documented on the app. I had a really good time at Marie’s Denee’s event even though my day got off to a very rocky start.
The new arrivals at Eloquii are really giving me life right now. I love fall fashion. I feel like the colder months are when I dress the best. This collection from Eloquii is sooo good. The tribal prints! The plum color that is perfect for fall! The faux suede and fringe!!!! I am living! I am starting to see a few fall items enter in stores now, and it is getting me very excited. I can’t believe it is back to school time already. I have a back to school contest on Instagram right now. Enter to win a planner and a pack of pencils.
Charlotte Russe Plus came out a few months ago. I looked at the clothes, thought they were cute, and then forgot about them because life got hectic and what not. Now I am back. I saw a skirt on Garner Style’s Facebook page and thought I better take another look at this line. Charlotte Russe’s plus size section is really cute. I really love some of the basics and jumpsuits that they have on the site. I haven’t seen this collection in stores yet. If you have, let me know what you think about it below.
Hello everyone! I hope your wallets are ready, because the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here! I am so excited. Nordstrom has a great plus size selection in their stores, and an even bigger selection online.
Plus size clothing line One One Three is back and it is bangin’!!!I don’t know if you remember One One Three, but I blogged about them here a few years ago. I have have always loved their clothes and style. I think they are edgy and fun. Tres cool y’all! You should check out their collection for the summer. The line features pants, tops, outerwear, and even swimsuits in that hot neon tropical Miami style that is super popular right now! The pieces are moderately priced and are UK sized 18-26. I think that should be a US 14-22. Photos from One One Three.
Rebdolls will have you ready for summer fun with their easy knit basics. The shop features swimwear, two piece sets, leggings, crop tops, and cute graphic tees in sizes 0-28. It is spring time and white jeans are kinda having a moment. I rarely wear white clothes. This is super TMI, but I always feel like my period is going to come on just because I wore white and spoil my fashion moment. Like for why and for what? UGH!!! Anyway. I love white jeans. I have a pair that I love, but never wear because of my own personal paranoia.
So you may recall me talking about how I am shopping for dresses to wear to several weddings this year on the blog and social media. Well I still am looking for some plus size dresses because I just learned that one of the weddings will be held outside. That changes things. Now I need to find something that won’t be too hot or too cold depending on the weather. (more…)
FTC: This #TBT Style Icon With Boohoo.com post was done in conjunction with Boohoo.com. They also supplied the clothes.
Hey everyone. Can you guess what my #TBT Style Icon with boohoo.com is? Hint, hint. The name is in the title of this post. British retailer Boohoo.com told me to pick out some clothes and base them on one of my style icons for a #tbt or Throwback Thursday post. One of my favorite movies from the 90s is The Craft. I love the story of four teenage witches pick to live in a house with seven strangers….sorry. Sorry. Wrong show. (more…)
Plus size models are in Sports Illustrated’s annual swimsuit issue. Being in the swimsuit issue is a big deal for any model’s career. Both of them are pretty hot. I hope you check that out. (more…)

The Skirt is $34.50 and has ruching down the side. The shirt has a removable jewelry piece at the neckline, is quilted, and is also $34.50. *SIDE NOTE- This top is fitted, so it you want a looser fit, order a size up. The sweaters or cardis are both $29.50 and felt warm on the chilly day that I shot my video in the shade.

I adore the pre-fall fashion in Eloquii’s new August lookbook. Prints and patterns are something that I think Eloquii does a great job of. Just because you are plus sized, that doesn’t mean you can have fun with color, shapes, prints, and patterns. There is a dress and a pair of pants in this lookbook that are calling my name y’all. I listed a few of my fave pieces down below. Photos from Eloquii. View the rest of the lookbook here.
Today’s currently craving brand is Lovesick Vintage, an online boutique that sells vintage items from the 1930s to the 1990s. According to the website, Lovesick Vintage started as a way for the seller, Britteny Riordan, to find vintage clothing that fit her size.
The Lovesick Vintage brand now carries clothing in sizes XS to XXXL for women, men and children they also have accessories. Prices range from $8 to $50, not bad right? All items ship worldwide from Chicago, Illinois and they accept Etsy Gift Cards as a payment method.

ASOS Curve‘s fall collection is fiyah!!! They just released the images yesterday, but I couldn’t blog about it because I had a patternmaking class last night. I was so antsy, I wanted to show these pictures last night because the collection is full of grunge meets preppy pieces that I love. I can’t wait for this collection to come out. There is a tan coat that I will need if we have another winter like last winter.
The plaid pieces speak to me because if you know me, plaid is mah thang! I mean I just sewed up a plaid half scale dress in garment construction last quarter. I am also intrigued by the midi skirts. I just starting buying midi skirts. I used to think they looked weird on my, but now after wearing one and looking super cute I am all in. I might need to buy these ASOS ones as well. The collection should be on ASOS.com soon.
Today’s currently craving designer/brand is Ashley Nell Tipton of Ashley Nell Tipton Design, a 21-year-old from San Diego, California. Sewing since she was 7-years-old, Ashley created her first fashion collection when she was a senior in high school.
The Ashley Nell Tipton collection is designed for women ages 20-30 with a bit of an edgy style, on her Facebook page she says:
“My collection is a full figured collection for the woman in her 20’s or 30’s who is a chic rocker! My collection is an artful combination of glamour and street fashion. I love color and I’m very inspired by curvy women and helping them feel good in their clothes. I want to offer plus size women the opportunity to wear fun colors and to avoid the pit-falls of only wearing black because many curvy girls think it is the only color that is slimming.”
Her designs come in sizes 1x (10-12) – 6x (30-32), which means that there is something for everyone! I love it! For more size information, check out her size chart.
Here are a few pieces that have me losing my breath!
