I am loving this new fall collection from Eloquii. They are calling it Rebel Yell and it was a grunge look to it with all of the plaids and ripped jeans. They also have some really great looking sweaters in this collection too! Eloquii really has been on the move lately. They just put new suits and tights on their website. Here is my video of my new fall pieces from Ashley Stewart. I am no model, but I tried to show you the different ways to wear the skirt, shirt, and sweaters. The Skirt is $34.50 and has ruching down the side. The shirt has a removable jewelry piece at the neckline, is quilted, and is also $34.50. *SIDE NOTE- This top is fitted, so it you want a looser fit, order a size up. The sweaters or cardis are both $29.50 and felt warm on the chilly day that I shot my video in the shade.
eShakti has casual and work appropriate fall jackets in sizes 0 to 36W. They are cute and easily customizable for fit and style on eShakti’s website. I love that these jackets are casual enough to be worn on the weekends and after work, but they are also fancy enough to be worn to work. If you register on eShakti’s website today you get a $25 gift card. Jump on those jackets ladies! Photos from eShakti.com.
I adore the pre-fall fashion in Eloquii’s new August lookbook. Prints and patterns are something that I think Eloquii does a great job of. Just because you are plus sized, that doesn’t mean you can have fun with color, shapes, prints, and patterns. There is a dress and a pair of pants in this lookbook that are calling my name y’all. I listed a few of my fave pieces down below. Photos from Eloquii. View the rest of the lookbook here.
Today’s currently craving brand is Lovesick Vintage, an online boutique that sells vintage items from the 1930s to the 1990s. According to the website, Lovesick Vintage started as a way for the seller, Britteny Riordan, to find vintage clothing that fit her size.
The Lovesick Vintage brand now carries clothing in sizes XS to XXXL for women, men and children they also have accessories. Prices range from $8 to $50, not bad right? All items ship worldwide from Chicago, Illinois and they accept Etsy Gift Cards as a payment method.
Plus size retailer Eloquii released their 2014 summer look book yesterday featuring their latest collection, entitled “Violet Femmes“. This collection features crop tops, cutout dresses, flirty skirts, in a variety of purple hues and my favorite, lace!
There are a few pieces from this collection that are available for purchase now. Did I mention that prices are under $200? Well, what are you waiting for? With a collection full of standout pieces, check out Eloquii today.

ASOS Curve‘s fall collection is fiyah!!! They just released the images yesterday, but I couldn’t blog about it because I had a patternmaking class last night. I was so antsy, I wanted to show these pictures last night because the collection is full of grunge meets preppy pieces that I love. I can’t wait for this collection to come out. There is a tan coat that I will need if we have another winter like last winter.
The plaid pieces speak to me because if you know me, plaid is mah thang! I mean I just sewed up a plaid half scale dress in garment construction last quarter. I am also intrigued by the midi skirts. I just starting buying midi skirts. I used to think they looked weird on my, but now after wearing one and looking super cute I am all in. I might need to buy these ASOS ones as well. The collection should be on ASOS.com soon.
Today’s currently craving designer/brand is Ashley Nell Tipton of Ashley Nell Tipton Design, a 21-year-old from San Diego, California. Sewing since she was 7-years-old, Ashley created her first fashion collection when she was a senior in high school.
The Ashley Nell Tipton collection is designed for women ages 20-30 with a bit of an edgy style, on her Facebook page she says:
“My collection is a full figured collection for the woman in her 20’s or 30’s who is a chic rocker! My collection is an artful combination of glamour and street fashion. I love color and I’m very inspired by curvy women and helping them feel good in their clothes. I want to offer plus size women the opportunity to wear fun colors and to avoid the pit-falls of only wearing black because many curvy girls think it is the only color that is slimming.”
Her designs come in sizes 1x (10-12) – 6x (30-32), which means that there is something for everyone! I love it! For more size information, check out her size chart.
Here are a few pieces that have me losing my breath!
ASOS SALON for Curve is now on the site and it is gorgeous. They basically designed a vintage inspired, heavy embellished special occasion line that is perfect for summer weddings and other parties. I love the pastel colors and vintage feel. These are the types of things that I would look for a t a vintage bazaar. You can find all of the collection here.

eShakti.com sent me an amazing printed shirtdress that made me feel like a 1950s housewife. I was trying to do my best Lucille Ball impression in the video. Tee Hee. This beautiful dress is $69.95. I love eShakti.com because they have some really cute clothes that are affordable and go up to a size 36.
The other thing I love, which I will be trying next time, is there custom feature. You can put in your own measurements and they will make one of their many garments in your size. I love it because every body isn’t a standard size. Shipping takes about 14 days. I think it is longer for custom garments.
Use coupon code fatskinyfashes to get 10% off when you shop at eShakti-valid from 6/14/2014 to 7/12/2014!!!
Most plus size women are afraid to wear shorts because of how their legs and/or thighs may look in them (don’t worry, I’ll add in a few shorts that aren’t so short). However, with the spring season in full effect and summer not too far behind, it’s time to get over your fear of shorts; if not be prepared to die from a heatstroke! (Just kidding!)
I was recently gifted a dress and a short sleeved sweater from plus size retailer Jessica London. The plus size retailer has extended sizes now so more women can get good fashions. They line now starts at 12 and ends at 40. I love these two items. I can’t wait to wear the Jessica London Short-Sleeve Sweater $29.99-$39.99 with a skirt in the spring or my jeans to class. It is a little clingy, but it stretches and gives a lot. This sweater comes in so many colors.
If being a plus-size woman isn’t hard enough, when it comes to choosing a bathing suit for those spring break vacations or vacations in general, it’s harder. I think it’s safe to say that our choices of bathing suits are restricted. Either we find one that fits completely or it’s too loose around certain areas.
Printed pants are definitely a trend I can get down with. I am loving this trend because you can dress these pants up or down. They come in different patterns and prints and look amazing on everyone despite what you might think! My favorite style is the harem printed pant. Forever 21 has a bunch of printed pants in straight and plus sizes. I particularly like the Day Trip Harem Pants from Forever 21 Plus. They are only $19.80, so they aren’t breaking the bank. Get you some great style at a low price.
Forever 21 + has a ton of really cute swimsuits in their plus size line. The Flamingo Print One-Piece is the cutest by far. It has a little flamingo print action going on and cute little ruffles in the front. It is partially lined and has a built-in underwire. Get it on the low for only $27.80. The Flamingo Print One-Piece Swimsuit is definitely to die for! Photo from here.
This Fuzzi Plus Size Leopard Jacket at Saks Fifth Avenue’s Salon Z is to die for. It is gorgeous and sexy and comes in plus sizes. The problem is the price. Coming in at $1595 and on sale for $1116.50, I can’t afford it. A girl can dream right…
P.S. There is a cute plus size leopard coat on sale at Old Navy for $45. Get it now before it goes back up to $89. Photo from Saks Fifth Avenue.
Linen Tulip Dress (£135.00) from the White Label collection. This 60s-inspired linen shift dress is perfect for the season’s hot retro looks. But its chic minimalism is timeless as well. The linen has a touch of stretch and moves with you. Go for a polished Mad Men look with kitten-heeled mules and a matching clutch.
