The Fat and Skinny on Fashion

The Fat and Skinny on Fashion

Yesterday was my blog’s 7th birthday! Thank you so much for reading The Fat and Skinny on Fashion for Seven Years. I can’t even believe it. I really can’t. When I started the blog during the first semester of grad school the Obama’s were just entering their first year in office. I never knew I would still be writing this thing for so many years. I am so thankful for my readers and fans. I am so happy with how far I have come with this blog. I have finished two degrees, gone to several fashion weeks, made so many friends, and had so much fun! Here’s to many more!

I should have gotten it sooner. Coschedule is the best scheduling app slash plugin for your WordPress blogs and social media content. I can’t wait to show you all how I use this plugin. It is so easy and convenient to use. I have already started telling some of my other blogging friends about it. Every blogger should have an editorial calendar. Coschedule makes it simple.

Chinatown

Chinatown

So there won’t be posts again until sometime next week, since I am going back to DC for another convention.  Last time I couldn’t get some dim sum. This time I am making it my mission to get some dumplings from the white building right under those arches. Yum! Hopefully, I can get the blog back together since I will only be there a few days instead of a week. Have a great, fun weekend! Be safe and don’t forget about the $140 J. Crew gift card giveaway! Beauty Bit- Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick vs. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

Matte Lipstick

Hey guys! I took some time off to do personal stuff last week, but I am back to bring you the battle of the matte lipsticks. I bought these lipsticks myself. The Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick was less than $10, but the pack of three NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream was $12 at Urban Outfitters. The opponents , Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick vs. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream, fought really hard. Unfortunately I am not a fan of these lipsticks/lip creams. I was really intrigued by the colors and thought they would look great on, but the formula for both products is horrible, very drying, and peels like no other.

Carolina Bloggin’ 2011

Carolina Bloggin 2011

This past Saturday, before I went to the SC. State Fair to see The Roots perform an awesome concert, I went to the Carolina Bloggin’ at Gervais & Vine. The food was amazing, the speakers were amazing, and the sponsors were amazing. Thanks Firefly Vodka and thanks That Teowonna for holding this wonderful event again. I got to meet some new bloggers and see some old friends. If you have just started a blog, or have had one for quite some time, go to a blogging conference. They are so much fun, you get a wealth of knowledge, and you get to meet a bunch of great and awesome people.
