TFAS Shop Tours- Mack Home

mack home

Last night my intern Maddy and I went to the MACK Home event at Trenholm Plaza where they introduced the launch of a new line of Lee Industries home furnishings and fabric. I’ve always seen this store from the outside since I am always in Trenholm Plaza, but I had never been in there before. I was surprised at how big the store is, and I was shocked to see the great selection of locally produced products. I thought they would just carry bigger brands and specialty brands not found or made here in South Carolina. I also thought they only did interior design for clients since they do interior design work locally and nationally. Wrong! The store is much more than that. Continue Reading

TFAS Shop Tours: M2 Boutique Grand Reopening

M2 Boutique Grand Reopening

M2 Boutique Grand Reopening

On Saturday, I went to the grand reopening of M2 Boutique. Now located on Two Notch Road, after moving from the Vista, the store is bright, spacious, and on a busy thoroughfare. The store is still stocked with a few winter goodies, but there are a lot of spring clothes and jewelry as well. I like the way the store is situated with the fitting rooms behind the cash wrap. I also like how they have bathrooms. You would be surprised at the number of boutiques that don’t have bathrooms. Anyway. Check them out today. They are open from 12pm-8pm. Go find you some cute spring break clothes.

TFAS Shop Tours : Versona Accssories Opens Up New Store In Columbia South Carolina

Yesterday I went to the grand opening of the brand new Versona Accessories store at the Village of Sandhill shopping center in Columbia, South Carolina. I wasn’t too familiar with this store. All I knew about it was that a friend had visited one in Charlotte, NC and loved it. She practically raved about it, so when a PR rep for the company invited me to the store I had to sneak a peek.

Urban Outfitters Store On Tour

Urban Outfitters Store on Tour

Yesterday, I headed down to 1022 Senate Street  to see what the Urban Outfitters Store on Tour was about. Well it was great seeing how they turned the two truck trailers into a mini store. The clothes were nice as always. I almost bought some black and white film for my camera. Instead I bought a tribal inspired tank top. Check out the rest of my review and my Instagram photos below.

A Devine Night Out Was Amazing

A Devine Night Out

Last night I went downtown to A Devine Night Out. It was Columbia’s version of Fashions Night Out and I had a blast. Every store on Devine Street was open and full of people. Shop owners served drinks and snacks as shoppers perused racks of clothes, and restaurants stayed open to provide people with warm food. I wish I had stopped in one of those restaurants. Everyone looked so warm and toasty, but I stuck to the shops. There was also a nice raffle with great prizes from local spots.

TFAS Shop Tour: Brittons of Columbia

Yesterday I went to Brittons of Columbia on Devine Street and did a tour of the store and spoke with several of the employees. I learned that their jewelery selection, which is huge, ranges in price from $25-$500, and they are the only store in South Carolina that sells Armani Jean. The jeans, which dip down in the front and rise higher in the back for a flattering mid-rise waist, are cut to make you appear taller. Brittons also sells brands like Eileen Fisher and  celebrity favorite Hale Bob for women and Southern Tide and their world famous bowties for men. As I walked around the store, I noticed shoppers of all ages, mostly women aged late teens and above. There is truly something from everyone at Brittons.

*Since I know Father’s Day is coming up, I have a treat for you. Brittons has a world famous bow tie online shop all thanks to this video that was featured in the New York Times. First, watch their famous “How to Tie a Bow Tie” video to impress that special male in your life, then go to Brittons online shop I am thinking about getting my dad one. Now all I have to do is choose from a plethora of options. and buy that special male a snazzy bowtie.
