Hello everybody. While I am still working on my thesis, I want to bring you this interview with Romanian designer Yoana Baraschi. She is very talented, and I am now a big fan of her clothes. Baraschi is heavily influenced by her travels and love of vintage clothes. The pictures you see below are of her new Spring 2012 collection. I am really loving the bright colors, flirty lace and patterns, and feminine silhouettes. I hope you enjoy the interview below.
I first met designer Imani Whyte during New York Fashion Week through my friend Najee Wilson. Whyte showed my some photos of her work, and I was hooked. I knew I had to bring it straight to you. Here is an interview I did with the designer, and when you get done reading it, go support her Facebook page.

I first met Michael in high school. We both went to different schools, but played in District Orchestra together. Then he left District 2 to finish high school at the SC Governor’s School for the Arts and the Humanities. I would hear little bits and pieces about him over the years via friends, the internet, and Facebook.
Facebook is where I actually found him again, just the other day. I saw pictures from his new collection pop up on my timeline, and knew I had to check them out. His clothes are beyond gorgeous, and I am not just saying that because I know him. They really are amazing. The deconstructed looks truly show how talented this self taught designer really is. Oh and if you’re wondering…the green dress is my favorite!
Last week, for school, I was given the task of interviewing someone in the fashion industry from my hometown. I turned in my article and finished editing the videos on Monday. On Friday, I interviewed Annabelle from LaRoque. The buzz around town about her was crazy, so she was the obvious choice. For those of you who don’t know who she is, well here is your chance to find out. I really love her shop, clothes, and personality. She is so great, and I want to thank her for letting me come into her studio to interview her. You can check out her shop and custom made dresses here.
