Night three of Columbia Style Week is going strong and the house aka 701 Whaley is getting more and more packed. First up was Gigi Couture with flirty tanks and t-shirt dresses. Riot on the Runway was CSW’s attempt at a joke. They put out horrible looking swimwear on purpose, but I think the joke was lost on most.
Next up was Fashion Camp USC, which is the camp for girls age 14 to 18. It was so hard to believe they just learned to sew, cut, and make patterns only a few days before. Their mentor Louise Hudson also showed a beachy collection full of lace and ruffles.
Dru Dun was a mix of preppy and rock and roll for men and women. I loved this causal fun collection. M2 Boutique showed cute, trendy clothes. Eclat Tailoring who you may remember from the Carolina Bloggin’ event in March showed an Asian inspired collection that got applause from the crowd. Belindabilly was an interesting mix of prints, patterns, and shapes. I was very keen on a pair of high waisted pants. I also saw a spot of knitwear that warmed my knitter’s heart. That is it for night three. Two more nights are left.
