Fall Skin Fab Not Drab Contest

Are you guys starting to notice drab winter skin? Tired of blackheads and blemishes? Are your pores getting larger, or are you having trouble trying to find the right skin cleanser? Well have no fear because The Fat and Skinny is here. Dr. Perricone has this great website that talks about great pore refining methods that are simple and easy to add to your skincare routine. Basically you should:
  1. Cleanse
  2. Tone
  3. Renew

Simple right?

The website also has great tips on using makeup to minimize pores. One of the Perricone products that is great for use in a pore refining routine is the Skin Clear Cleanser. According to the website, “This deep-cleaning acne cleanser helps to clear troubled skin by reducing excess sebum and eliminating surface contaminations. Skin Clear Cleanser contains the anti-aging ingredient DMAE, which helps to firm and tone skin. Green Tea Extract calms and clarifies while Allantoin helps encourage skin renewal.”

Luckily for you, Perricone and The Fat and Skinny are going to be giving away a bottle of Skin Clear Cleanser to one lucky reader.

Here are the guidelines:

  1. You must be from the US. Sorry international guys 🙁
  2. You must write a comment below telling me why you need this product, and tell me what products from the past have you used that haven’t worked for you like you thought they would.
  3. Contest ends next Wednesday, October 14!

  1. i'd love to win the perricone md skin clear cleanser because i have been using burt's bees products for a while now and for a while i did notice an improvement in my skin, but recently i had a horrible breakout on my jaw area and i want my acne days to be over. i have never tried perriconemd products, but i'm sure it cannot hurt. if it doesn't work for me, i'd also like to give it to my mom, as she and i have are always on the search for good skin products and what does not work for me may work for her.

btw, i heard that maybelline lash stiletto flakes, but the packaging is really nice. 🙂

  2. Oh wow! Great Giveaway!
I'd love to try it cause, well, my skin could do better! We're just not communicating! It thinks dry and splotchy is ok, while I do not 🙂
And in the past I used neutrogena, which did nothing but make my skin smell nice!

  3. I NEED this product because I am nearly thirty and still have acne!

My most disappointing product fail in recent memory would be a pantene naturals smoothing creme I tried. It weighed my hair down and felt greasy, no matter how well I combed it through.

  4. My skin is throwing a major temper-tantrum! It needs to be brought back into line with Dr. Perricone's cleanser. I've been reading his book, and I'm excited about the changes I see. I've tried it all: Kiehl's, Peter Thomas Roth, Clinique…they all work, just a little, and then they seem to give up and say, "This skin is just too much for us!"

  5. My skin is uneven in tone and I have breakouts! 🙁 I'd really love to try this so I can kick my skin's butt and make it behave nicely! Lol! I've used Clean & Clear and it DOES NOT work. Heck, I've tried every drugstore brand–and nothing helps! 🙁

  6. I breakout so badly all the time! It's very consistent the breakouts are. What aren't consistent is a treatment. Right now I use St. Ive's Apricot Scrub, but that isn't really working for me.

  7. I'd love to see it minimize my pores and really clean them deep down. Other cleansers always seem to dry my sensitive skin out. This one looks like it might really work. I'd love to give it a try!

  8. I would LOVE to try this! I use proactive right now, and it kind of works…I don't really break out too much, just a little bit every once in a while, but my pores always seem clogged up, and I would love to try this and get them really clean!!

  9. I'm definitely in need of a new face cleanser. I have really really sensitive skin and so I'm always going through a ton of products. I use everything from things over Macy's counters to drug store brands to find something. It'd be great to try something new!

  10. my main complaint is that pregnancy left me with some noticable discoloration on my cheeks. i'm also at a place where i'm looking to change up my skincare routine — and i've been wanting to try Perricone products for a while. this would be a fabulous opportunity!

what has worked — or not? i can't do cheap products. (they strip my skin.) it's worth it to me to splurge. i really like the brightening line from Clarins and La Mer's moisturizer (only in fall/winter months).

what hasn't worked? i can't use anything too astringent… so that cancels most of the drug store lines…

  11. At 33 years old, my skin is in this strange middle-of-the-road phase. While I am starting to see some fine lines (yikes!), I still get breakouts. With my combination skin type, I think what bugs me the most are the large pores and constant blackheads on my nose. Although I have tried both drugstore and expensive brands, I STILL haven't found a cleanser that effectively addresses all of these issues.
Thanks so much for the fabulous giveaway – I would be SO thrilled to win!

  12. I need this product because I have yet to use a cleanser that I feel actually cleanses my skin. I have tried ProActiv in the past and it made my skin very red.

  13. This would be great to try since I have combination skin and would like to try something that is anti-aging. Main things I have tried that do not seem to work for me are exfoliators. Many just do not seem to scrub enough.

  14. I've always had a pretty low key skin care regimen, but within the past year or so my skin has started to get a lot more dry in my t-zone, my pores have gotten bigger, and my chin hasn't been consistently clear- which is leaving scars.

I've tried scrubs, foaming cleaners, cream cleaners, gel cleaners, masks, you name it- it has either made it worse or my skin hasn't responded to it.

    Fun giveaway!

  15. I have combination, super-sensitive skin. Blackheads have always been an issue on my chin and nose, but I can't use anything too harsh for fear of causing an even worse breakout! For this reason, drugstore brands usually don't cut it for me.

  16. You name it, my skin has it: uneven texture, acne, oily patches, dry patches, and early signs of aging. I've tried everything. My latest craze has been with the Bare Escentuals line…they just came out with a cleanser…did nothing for me. I'm a mid-30's mom who is hoping to have her acne in check by the time her daughter reaches puberty so that we aren't sharing the same products. Help! My sister uses Perricone MD products and raves about them so I hope to get a chance to try it out!

  17. finding the perfect cleanser is a pain. my skin is not horrible, but it's not great. i have a lot of minor problems, but a lot of little problems definitely add up! my two most hated skin care problems are pores (both clogged pores and enlarged pores) and dealing with all the little blemish scars (ugh).

personally, i would rather spend a little more money on a clean, simple cleanser without a lot of synthetic ingredients then a cheaper cleanser with a ton of chemicals. that's pretty much been my downfall! i've found that while less expensive cleansers can be super effective, they leave my skin feeling not so refreshed and semi sensitive whereas a lot of the pricier cleansers leave my skin feeling clean and refreshed, but don't yield very good long term results. currently i'm using a well known "natural" brand of cleanser thats carried at sephora, it feels good on the skin, smells good, is made of nice ingredients.. but my skin doesn't look awesome. if perricone's cleaner lives up to it's claims… i think i may have hit the jackpot! i love the ingredients that perricone uses and i've heard good things about the results people are getting.

thank you so much for giving your readers a chance to win this!

  18. I haven't really used many products, but I'd love to try this one… I figure, may as well use the best product on the market so my skin stays healthy and good… fingers crossed I win!

  19. I have had horrible luck with the typical facial cleansers like clearasil etc… either they're too strong for my sensitive skin or they just flat out don't work. I would love to try this product out since I hear that it actually works! Can I get a free sample to make myself a believer?

  20. i would love to win this because i don't really use anything for my skin now (save St. Ive's lotion) so this would be amazingggg!!!

  21. I would love to win this because cleansers from the drugstore tend to either be too harsh or not good enough. I do love Clearasil's basic face wash, but Cetaphil is one that never leaves my skin clean enough even though sooo many beauty babes rave about it!!!

  22. Ever since an abrupt change in the weather, I've definitely been having some drab skin issues. I would love to try this product.

I can't even list all of the bad luck I've had with facial products – particularly moisturizers. yuck!

  23. I absolutely NEED this! I've recently (recently being the past year) have been hit with adult acne after years of being a acne-free teen. I tried Rx for Brown Skin, which I thought was working for a while…but now my skin has gotten worse! I've also tried homemade toners and nothing works 🙁 I'm a student so I can't splurge and try out products to find the right one for me, so being able to try Perricone's products would be a blessing! I'm going to cross my fingers!
