This year has been a whopper of year. I feel like 2020 has had everybody going through it. Between the election, job losses, and Covid-19 people really have been having a hard time. I have had to deal with my grandmother dying – not Covid related, changing careers in a unpredictable job market, and also my brand new computer that I need for my brand new career crashed three times. Saying this that this year has been rough really is an understatement.
One of the things that has gotten me through it has been to cut out the noise that is the news. I only watch it sparingly throughout the day. I just watch enough to be informed. I also try to limit doom scrolling on social media. Those things help but the anxiety and stress can still be there at times. I have been meditating and listening to meditative sounds for a few years now, so I decided to ramp up my pracitce.
