Happy 5th Birthday The Fat and Skinny on Fashion!

blog birthday

blog birthdayHappy 5th Birthday The Fat and Skinny on Fashion! I am so proud of what you have become. I started this blog as a graduate school project 5 years ago today. I still can’t believe I have stuck with it. This blog has helped me graduate from graduate school, meet new people, and learn new skills. I am a computer whiz now!

I have traveled to different fashion weeks and hair shows because of this blog. I have basically done so much that I wouldn’t normally do because of this blog. Usually I have a birthday blog contest running. Because I am moving in a few days, I had to rethink that plan. I have been packing too many boxes to plan a contest or anything else. I did however get some time in to  revamp the blog.

in the past, I have gone from a blog look-to a magazine look- and now back to a blog look. I just wanted something that looked cleaner. I am still tweaking things here and there. I am not sure when I will truly be finished with it.  I am also thinking about changing the blogging schedule. The blog might have fewer posts each week since I am going back to school.

Speaking of school…I am going to study fashion design. I really hope to blog a little bit about what going back to school and picking up another degree is like for me so look out for that. Thank you all for being awesome readers. I really appreciate all of you guys and dolls. Let me know what you think of the new blog layout. Also let me know what has been your favorite TFAS moment? What is your favorite post? Photo from here.

  1. Happy Birthday, TFASF! I’m so proud of you girl. I remember meeting you in SC at Charleston Fashion Wk and then seeing you many times in NYC at NYFW. I think your blog is amazing and one of the truly original blogs out there. Please keep doing what you do. And good luck in Charlotte and I hope you learn some amazing things in design school 😉

    1. Thanks so much! I am so glad that I met you, and I consider you a friend. Thanks for all of the support through the years!

  2. Congrats! It’s been great to watch your site grow. It is a much cleaner look, which I like.

Can’t believe you’re going back to school! Hopefully you’ll enjoy it 🙂
