Ok so I have been back for a week, but I needed some time to regroup and get myself together. For those of you who don’t follow me on Instagram, I went to Monaco and the French and Italian Rivera with my parents about two weeks ago. I never thought I would ever get to Europe because I was so afraid of flying. I never flew until I was 21 years old, and I will be 26 in January. I really haven’t been flying that long, so catching all those planes freaked me out a bit. I will say that I did better than expected.
The trip was amazing! I visited a perfume factory, the few medieval village of Eze and Menton in France, the market and Old Town of Ventimiglia in Italy, and I did a few tours around Monaco. Monaco, and the surrounding area, is so beautiful. The views from the mountain road were scary, but they truly showed you just how pretty the landscape really is. It is a little unnerving when you can reach out and touch a cloud though.
We stayed at the Fairmont Monte Carlo. The hotel was great because it was in walking distance to the Casino, the Metropole shopping mall, and the Cafe du Paris. I have always wanted to eat at an authentic French cafe. It was a across from the Casino and the Hotel du Paris, so you could sit outside and do a lot of people watching and fancy car watching. This was the trip of a lifetime. I am so excited to finally have some stamps in my passport.
