The Curvy Fashionista Style Expo

This weekend I drove to Atlanta to attend The Curvy Fashionista Style Expo. I don’t know if you follow me on Snapchat @tfasblog, but all of my Atlanta adventures were documented on the app. I had a really good time at Marie’s Denee’s event even though my day got off to a very rocky start.

So if you follow me on any of my social media, you know that I arrived three hours late. I got lost, and in the process of turning around I got a flat tire. I spent about two hours at the dealership getting a tire for the car. SMH! Then I was finally on my way, but as I was making my way into the venue, I slipped and fell. On my knees with my ass high up in the air. It was a mess.

Anywho. I made my way inside and thoroughly enjoyed myself.  I got to visit all of the vendors and buy a cute jean jumper from Pens and Pencils , and a little something something for my skin from Belle Butters. I also go to meet  Courtney Noelle from the fashion line formerly known as Rum and Coke. They aren’t that many plus size designers out there. As a fashion designer, it is nice to talk to people who are in your field.

It was also great to meet Marie Denee from The Curvy Fashionista. I have known her for five years, but we hadn’t met in person. When I first moved to WordPress, she actually took the time to show me how to use the platform. She threw a wonderful event. Even with all of the difficulties that I had earlier in the day, I know I will go back next year. Oh yeah! Next year’s date has already been set, so get ready.
