The minimalism of the previous seasons are truly a thing of the past. Spring 2016 couture was truly decadent in nature. Even the most bland of garments had a little something extra going on. Many garments had low cut necklines, pajama dressing is still in, and flouncy chiffon and lace are still a favorite with extra beading in the mix.

Then there seemed to be a battle between the most feminine of looks and the most ancient Byzantine style warrior woman looks. Actually I think the trend that stuck out to me the most were all of the dresses that looked like the costumes from 300 and Gladiator, or at least the Essos side of the realm in Game of Thrones.
