The Paris Fall 2011 Couture Shows are here again and beauty is among us. I am totally loving what I have seen so far. Alexis Mabille and Christian Dior brought the dramatics. If you are looking for a fantastical ball gown, stop there first. Anne Valerie Hash and Bouchra Jarrar showed the finer side of suiting for women by experimenting with neutral and bright shades. Giambattista Valli fell into a gap in between the other four designers by designing cake-like couture in a white, black, and pink palette.
I am literally drooling on the screen at all of these different designer offerings. TMI! Sorry, but it Spring 2010 couture is banging!!! Also don’t forget to give to Haiti. They still need our help, and enter in my contest with We Love Colors.

I thought the whole collection lacked a certain cohesiveness. The pieces I did love were full of hologram and mixed print goodness.I know she is still trying to build on things, but I wish she would work on her cohesiveness.
I was not expecting Alexis Mabille’s collection to be so literal, but I liked it. The collection reminded me of some kind of chic graphic, geometric circus uniform. I really like it though. Panels of colors were mixed with different shapes and fabrics just like a patchwork quilt.
Christian Dior made my mouth drop to the floor. The collection was beyond gorgeous. John Galliano usually creates beautiful collections but this one, to me, was his best yet. The equestrian theme meets Frankenstein Gibson Girl was a great combination. I can’t wait to see who is going to be the first to rock the boots. They were awesome too.
