Beauty Bit- Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask

Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask Review

Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask Review

I received the Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask from Brandbacker. This is an honest review.

I was so grateful to receive a full sized sample of the Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask. This mask was sooooo good. It smelled so fragrant when I opened the jar up. I couldn’t help myself. I just took another whiff of the mask. Like right now. I sniffed it. It is $25 on Amazon, and is a Prime item.

This mask dried my oily skin up. When I was done with the mask, my skin looked bright, clean, and very clear. It didn’t look anything like the hot greasy mess that walked into the bathroom earlier. The mask is supposed to be used for 15-20 minutes, and all you have to do is use the tiniest amount. I have a feeling that the 4 oz. jar is going to last me a long time.

Beauty Bit- Dermalogica’s Skin Hydrating Booster #DermalogicaHydrates

dermalogica skin hydrating booster

I received Dermalogica’s Skin Hydrating Booster from the good folks at iFabbo.com.

I recently Dermalogica’s Skin Hydrating Booster. This little concentrated serum does a lot for your skin. If you live in a cold or dry climate or have really dry skin, you might want to try this product. I really don’t recommend this product for someone with oily skin or someone who is naturally moisturized.

Beauty Bit- I Tried The Maybelline Color Elixir Lip Gloss! They Are Really Good!

Maybelline Color Elixir Review

I recently bought two tubes of the Maybelline Color Elxir lip glosses, and I really love them! The last time I tried a Maybelline product, the Fit Me Foundation sticks broke me out. You might recall my not so good review, but Maybelline customer service rectified the situation. Contact them whenever you have a problem with a product. They seriously are the best!

Beauty Bit- Crown Brush HD Brush Set Review

Crown Brush HD Brush Set

I received this Crown Brush HD Set with Mirror and Tweezer from Ifabbo.com. I am so glad I got this set. This vegan friendly brush set comes in three cool colors, and is really small and portable. This would make the perfect travel or everyday set. It is also perfect for beginners.

I love that it is only $27.95, which makes it very affordable. The Crown Brush HD Set comes with a removable mirror, tweezers, and enough brushes to line your eyes, pat on some eyeshadows and blend then together, and put on some blush and powder. The bristles are soft, yet do a good job of smoothing things out. The contour brush is small and compact and perfect for my liquid concealer. It really is my favorite brush.

This set works with creams, powders, and liquids. I think it works best with powders and liquids. The contour brush might work with creams the best though. It really is a great buy!

Beauty Bit- My Love/Hate Relationship With Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Foundation

Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Foundation

So I finally bought the Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Foundation and it had more pros than cons, but the cons were very problematic. I love the this foundation usually retails between $6.94 and $8.99. That means that it is really affordable. I also love that it has a medium to full buildable coverage. The white shine stick in the middle actually mattifies my face without making it look ashy. The two shades I bought were Cappucino and the darker Coconut. I used one to highlight and the other to contour.

The best part of the Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Foundation is that it looks so natural on my face. You can’t even tell that I have makeup on. I put primer on the second time around because I couldn’t tell if the makeup was straying off my face because it looked so much like my skin.

The worst part of this foundation is that it broke my face out so bad. I mean my face just erupted with acne. I am still trying to get my face back together and I only wore this foundation 3 or 4 times. That is not a good look. Since this foundation is so cheap, I would try it for a few days and see if you like it. I would still be wearing it if it hadn’t broken my face out.

Beauty Bit-The Difference Betweein BB Creams and CC Creams With AprilAthena7

aprilathena7 bb vs cc creams

Last year BB creams took America by storm, and while there are still very few options for women of color…beauty companies have now moved on to CC Creams. “What’s a CC cream,” you ask? Well just like a BB cream, CC creams have a multiple product in one thing going on except instead of being a beauty balm aka BB cream, it is a color corrector or CC cream. It is supposed to even out dark spots, redness, and the like. Youtube Beauty Guru AprilAthena7 always haws some great videos packed with lots of cool beauty news and advice. Watch her video above to learn the real difference between BB and CC creams, and learn some of her favorite brands. Also check below for some of my favorite new CC cream brands.

DIY Trench Coat and NYX Eye Pencil and Milani Glitzy Gloss Review

Today I am bringing you a video where I talk about how I made a sleeveless trench coat, which is very chic right now, and I review some beauty products I bought. I  recently bought the 3D Glitzy Glosses from Milani Cosmetics and the Jumbo Eye Pencils from NYX Cosmetics. Check out the video to see how I liked or disliked them.

For the Trench Coat- You can take a trench coat from anywhere. I just happened to buy mine off of Ebay. You can either cut the sleeves off or use a seam ripper like I did. Seam rippers are cheap. Also make sure you buy some fray check from Walmart or any craft/fabric store. This will help you keep the frays in check.
