Beyonce rocks the wet hair look at the Grammy’s. You may remember the drenched bob look from her Drunk in Love video. She brought it back when she performed the song with her husband Jay-z as they opened last night Grammy’s. I know that some people are on the fence about the look. Continue Reading
Last night’s Met Gala 2013 theme was basically punk rock, and most of the best dressed at the Met Gala took the theme to another level. While most fashionistas were not interested in the theme, I think the punk theme was a great opportunity for the various attendees and designers to show off their creative side. Not every Met Gala attendee always follows the theme, and some end up looking great even though they didn’t follow the theme, but I think it helps to at least try.
While I think there were a lot of best dressed picks to choose from these women really stood out to me. I love the Stella McCartney jumpsuit that Kristen Stewart wore. Miley Cyrus looked the most punked out in her glittery mesh Marc Jacob dress and spiked hair. Rooney Mara was divine in Givenchy and Donatella Versace just looked amazing. Also who is her plastic surgeon? I think she got a new one because she has been looking a lot better lately.
Madonna and Beyonce were the queens of the night in Givenchy. Madonna looked like a punk pin-up and Beyonce looked very Baroque inspired with her corset and making skirt and boot. Coco Rocha gave a very punk turn in an animal printed and feathered Ungaro gown and Jennifer Lopez let her curves do the talking in a Michael Kors dress. Photo from Fashionista.
I am super psyched to see and hear Beyonce at the Super Bowl. I want to see her costumes. I want to know it DC3, aka Destiny’s Child, will come out and perform a medley. If Beyonce performs one of her brand new songs I could just akldhklashdkfhksdhsasdkhsl! I’m completely and utterly losing it. That is how excited I am. I don’t even care who wins the game. Game… what game? I am only here for the one and only Beyonce. These behind the scenes practice videos have me even more hyped. ZOMG I can’t breathe.
Ummm… Beyonce definitely gets this week’s Bad Bish honors for all the style and flare she possessed at last week’s Revel concerts. This is a complete comeback after losing 60 pounds and getting the guts to sing and dance again just four months after giving birth to Blue Ivy or Fair Oaks as my daddy calls her. Photo from The Cut.
So remember a few weeks ago when the Videophone remix starring Beyonce/Lady Gaga aka #beygaga aka I’m about to poop my pants and have a heart attack over the fierceness they shall bring was supposed to premier?
Last night Khali and I went and had an adventure on the Metro, getting lost in D.C., and eating in the post office my dad used to work in while in college.
Today I went to the South Carolina brunch, and then I went to the We Are One concert. I have never done so much standing and walking in my life. It was so much fun. I saw the first and second family-elect ,U2,Beyonce,Stevie Wonder, John Legend,John Mellencamp,Pete Seeger and his son, James Taylor, Jennifer Neetles from Sugarland, Shakira, Usher, Herbie Hancock, Heather Headley, Shelry Crow, Will I. Am., Josh Groban, Renee Fleming,Mary J. Blige, Jamie Fox, Denzel Washington, Queen Latifah,Samuel L. Jackson,Steve Carrell, Jack Black,Tom Hanks,Marisa Tomei, Rosario Dawson, and more.
I have never seen so many people of different ethnic backgrounds singing, dancing, and just participating together. I love it, and I am so glad to have this experience.
