Rihanna CFDA Dress

So you knew this week’s Bad Bish was gonna be Rihanna. I mean… hello! Rihanna channeled Josephine Baker at the CFDA Awards in an Adam Selman gown, and she looked gorgeous. To all the haters saying that she was too naked…back off!! She looked amazing. This is why she got the CFDA Fashion Icon Award. Photo from here. Don’t forget to check out the making of the dress video clip below!

Bad Bish-Jenna Lyons at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards

I really believe that Jenna Lyons of J. Crew fame is a modern day style icon. This picture is from the recent CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards. The fancy print with cropped pants and red heels is just adorable in a classic nerdy chic kinda way. Her easy breezy, messy preppy style is cute and comfy. It also looks incredibly relatable, which is one of the reasons J. Crew has done so well under her leadership. Photo from Fashionista.com.

From Style.com:

Breaking news: The Council of Fashion Designers of America and Vogue have announced the ten finalists for the seventh annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund awards.

The fund was established to help emerging American design talent find continued success in the fashion business, and the winner of the competition (which kicks off at the end of July and culminates in mid-November) is awarded $200,000 and a yearlong mentorship, while the two runners-up receive $50,000.

“Fashion is probably the only industry in the world where its fledgling talents are expected to be as creatively adept at running a business as they are at design,” says Editor in Chief Anna Wintour. “Many, clearly, are not, and it’s through the support of the Fund that these promising designers will be able to build a future for themselves—and for American fashion.”

The Ten Finalists:
ALTUZARRA – Joseph Altuzarra
EDDIE BORGO – Eddie Borgo
