I’ve wanted to go to the see what Motor Supply Company’s Make Your Own Bacon Workshop or the awesomely titled #baconrumpus was about for so long. I missed the event so many times I thought that I would never get there, or they would cancel it before I could find time in my schedule to go. A lot of people
myself included say that there is nothing to do in Columbia. For the most part, this is true…but things are changing. When in the last decade have you heard of a make your own bacon event with complimentary cocktails and appetizers in Columbia?
Last night my intern Maddy and I went to the MACK Home event at Trenholm Plaza where they introduced the launch of a new line of Lee Industries home furnishings and fabric. I’ve always seen this store from the outside since I am always in Trenholm Plaza, but I had never been in there before. I was surprised at how big the store is, and I was shocked to see the great selection of locally produced products. I thought they would just carry bigger brands and specialty brands not found or made here in South Carolina. I also thought they only did interior design for clients since they do interior design work locally and nationally. Wrong! The store is much more than that.
SHE Columbia is coming to town, and I can’t wait. This isn’t your average, stuffy, and boring women’s conference. This is, as they say, the Ultimate Girls’ weekend. I missed it last year, and was terribly upset about that, so this year I am going to try my best to get there. They are going to have a ton of food, craft, fashion, and wellness exhibits. A lot of my blogger friends like The Shop Tart, Make Me Over Eb, That Teowonna, and others are going to be presenting there. I’m so excited. They are also going to have some great entertainment as well. Check out all the info below to find out what will be going on! [SOURCE]
