Fall 2013 Couture Fashion Week came and went by so fast. I barely had time to think about it, but that might have also been because I was so focused on The Fourth of July. I was in love with the collections as usual, but there were a few that really caught my eye. I am truly in love with the duo of designers at Valentino. I think they really have found their groove and bring much sophistication to the house. A lot of people think that Jean Paul Gaultier’s recent collections have been lackluster, but I was really feeling the disco rainbow leopard looks he put out there. Giambattista Valli and Elie Saab make the kind of couture that really just screams COUTURE! I know this is what people want to see Raf Simons do at Christian Dior, but that is just not Simons style. I like what he is doing at Dior. To be honest, some of the clothes leave a little something to be desired, but Then you get a few pieces that really wow you. Armani Prive really brought the old school Hollywood Glamour. The blush notes really look good on any skin tone and the fabric floated on air. I have been a fan of Alexis Mabille since I started writing this blog. He was just coming to prominence and starting to get a name for himself. When you look at his clothes, you can see why he is so popular. The clothes are heaven. They are what I could imagine a couture darling ordering for herself back in the day. These photos came from Style.com. Go check them out for the rest of Fall 2013 Couture Fashion Week.
