Resort 2012

The Resort 2012 collections have been coming out everyday for the past two months or so. I hate Resort and Pre-fall collections because they always come out at sporadic times. I wish they could all come out in like one week or so, or have the designers release their collection photos at scheduled times. The collections that you are about to see are just a few of the ones that I like. All photos are from Style.com. Thoughts?

Day Two of New York Fashion Week

The clothes this season are definitely growing up. The designers know that their customers want sophisticated clothes that don’t look like they belong on their daughters or little sisters.

The Bensoni collection was full of prints, light colors, and airy fabrics. I could see this collection on the street or the beach.

As usual, Christian Siriano’s collection featured lots of prints and ruffles. Some people thought it was too much like his other collections, but  I think if ain’t broke don’t fix it.

The ladies from Cushnie et Ochs did a great job as usual. They know their customers like sleek with a little something extra. That leather dress was cut perfectly.

Gregory Parkinson’s collection was short but sweet. The patterns and colors reminded me of candy.

I had never heard of Mandy Coon before, but after seeing her jellyfish inspired collection, I would love to know more about her. Structure is something she played with, and that made the mostly black and white collection seem fluid.

New York Spring Fashion Week Post 3

The Spring season is starting to look more and more like this season with shorts and brighter colors, which is ok…Whatever!

Cushnie et Ochs looked spacey and very bodcon like. I liked the collection and thought the color scheme was very springy. The only thing I didn’t like was the black dress with the hole near the crotch. You don’t want your cootchie to be all out in full effect. Uh no no!

Apparently Charlotte Ronson and Erin Wasson x RVCA were the shows to be at last night! Charlotte Ronson was very Olivia Newton-John meets Urban Safari! Erin Wasson was very Erin Wassony. I could only see my self wearing a few pieces. The rest I could see on model types, or people who want to be Erin Wasson.

Michelle Obama’s fashion designer of choice for that famous night, Jason Wu, had a darling collection. The colors and shapes and patterns just looked so feminine and chic. I loved every outfit which is rare, and the shoes were hot too. He is so talented, and I love that. I hope he doesn’t lose his mojo or becomes too big headed.
