I know the spring shows are going on right now, but I wanted to bring it back to fall for a little bit with Washington Roberts‘ Fall/Winter 2013 collection. Grab your pumpkin spice latte and get into the leather and velvet. Get into the sheer detailing and architectural styling of these garments. Roberts always does a good job of dressing the confident and sexy woman, who wants to feel pretty, but not lose her edge.
I am loving the difference in the pant leg sizes too. They go from skinny to skinny flare to supremely wide! It gives a girl options, and who doesn’t like options? Menswear inspired looks were placed throughout the collection as well and usually ended up in dress form or mixed with a flouncy skirt. Have you gotten into the fabulousness of this collection yet?
To prove that, because of my cold, I have way too much time on my hands, I have decided to write in my iPad Notebook a little cheat sheet on the following fashion industry rumors. This is my way of keeping it all together. Since Galliano was fired from Dior a year ago, the fashion world has been going through a guessing game of which designer is going to which fashion house. This morning sees the rumors going on overdrive yet again.
Alexander Wang is one of America’s hottest designators. At the age of 27, he has already mastered the art of designing cool garments with a sleek, sophisticated design edge that models, hipsters, fashion mavens, and the chic adore around the world. The downtown NYC look is a staple of his main line Alexander Wang , and his basics based men and women’s line T by Alexander Wang.

I am crying right now. I am totally beside myself with grief. Why? According to the London Daily Mail
Alexander McQueen, aka one of my fashion designer idols, is dead. He committed suicide and his body was found today. I am crying right now. I always thought that one day I would get to meet this tailoring genius. I know he was extremely upset at the passing of his mother last week. My mother always says it takes a very strong person to kill oneself. I just wished he could have pushed through the pain, but you never truly know what he was going through. I hope we can all remember him for the great things that he has done during his time on Earth. Let us think of the time he sent a hologram of Kate Moss down the runway. Let us think of the time he put a model on turntable and spray painted her dress with robotic arms, and let us not forget his beautiful Spring 2010 show from last fall. You will be missed.
McQueen is Dead! Long LIVE McQueen!
