The minimalism of the previous seasons are truly a thing of the past. Spring 2016 couture was truly decadent in nature. Even the most bland of garments had a little something extra going on. Many garments had low cut necklines, pajama dressing is still in, and flouncy chiffon and lace are still a favorite with extra beading in the mix.
Purgasm Shop is a local brand of natural products for skin and hair, and I can’t get enough of them. My favorite is the whipped butters, but I am fond of the scrubs and lather bars too! If you are in town, make sure to rsvp and stop by for this event. I’m sure it is going to be a blast!
This weekend was the sixth annual Style Exhibition. The Style Exhibition is a local fashion event put on by 3 Jay Productions every spring which showcases fashion designers from all over the country. The first night is a networking mixer, and then the last two nights are full of fashion shows. This was my third time attending the events, and I have written about it in the past. Because I have seen the event improve every year, I was really excited to see the designers that they had showing during the two nights of fashion shows.
I am finally home from the Bronner Bros. Mid-Winter Hair Show 2013. I am so tired and sore from all the walking and standing and doing, but I had a blast! I can’t wait to go back again. I bought a ton of items, and handed out several business cards. I really think I found some new brands to cover for the blog. I never made it to any of the classes, but that is okay. This was my first time at the largest exhibition in the world. I learned what to expect for next time so I can plan accordingly. I want to leave you with some of pictures that I took at the event. Also, check out the blog in the coming weeks when I review some products from the show!
AHHHHHHHHH!! Mom and I are having a blast at Bronner Bros. braving the wind and the cold, and all of the incredible vendors inside. I have already bought things that I plan on reviewing later and sampled other products. My hands have more creams and oils on them I’ve ever had on them before. They should be baby soft right now. I think I am going to put some pictures up of all the crazy hairstyles I’ve seen so far on my Facebook page, so stay tuned for that. They are wild, and I know you want to see them. Tomorrow we are going to go to some makeup classes and peruse the vendors again. Mom is acting as my assistant. She is helping me tape things, and is really having a blast! I would also like to say thank you to the media coordinators for the event. They were really helpful.
Tonight I went to the Night in Paris Hair Show. I’ve been to hair shows in the past, and it had been a while, so I was excited to attend.
The show was very interesting. It was held at the Columbia Metropolitain Convention Center. There were a lot of vendors and attendence was great. There was a lot going on though.
The show didn’t seem as organized as it should have been. The DJ had to start the music over for several different acts. We couldn’t hear the mic over the music. The lights kept turning on and off at the wrong time.
The motivational speaker had a great message, but the message was lost because people were looking for excitement not a business sermon. The barber competition was more exciting. I loved looking at the barbers create designs in under 14 mins.
