H&M, the European fast fashion chain, has finally opens an online store it had delayed several times before. While other H&M markets around the world had an online store to shop from, shoppers here in America were beginning to get frustrated. Now you can shop H&M’s women’s, men’s, plus size, and kid’s lines, as well as the new home collection. Now shopper’s can breathe a sigh of relief. The new webstore has opened just in time, because the new Isabel Marant designer collaboration collection will be hitting H&M stores soon. Photo from H&M.
3.1 Phillip Lim for Target is totally a thing and is totally happening and coming to a Target store near you! This will be another popular designer collaboration for Target especially since this line will feature clothes and accessories for men and women. The prices range from $19.99 to $299.99 for apparel and $19.99 to $59.99 for accessories. I can’t wait to see what will be available. The collection debuts stores and online September. Masion Martin Margiela is the next designer to collaborate with H & M. This is super duper exciting! The collection for men and women will come out on November 15, 2012 and will be released online and at 230 stores. I can’t wait!!!!! Check out this teaser video below.
Zara has finally set a date for their first American e-commerce site. The Spain based fast fashion chain will start selling clothes online to US shoppers on September 7th, the day before New York Fashion Week starts. I can’t believe that is a little more than a month away. I am too excited for this.
Earlier in the week, fast fashion chain H&M also revealed via Twitter that it too was going to open their online shop fro Americans, but they only revealed that it would be in early 2012. First they told us fall of 2011, now early 2012. They need to get on the ball and hurry up! Photo from Zara.
That great Italian label Missoni is coming to a Target near you on September 13th. This will be the biggest designer collaboration for the discount chain with over 400 pieces of clothing, housewear, and accessory items for sale. I, for one, cannot wait to see this collection. I mean who doesn’t want a little piece of Missoni at discount prices. What do you think about Missoni at Target? Are you excited? Photo from Style.com.
Why don’t we have a Zara store near us? My town is finally getting a Forever 21. I don’t know if it will even carry the Forever 21+ brand. The closest H&M and and Zara stores are three hours away. I would have to drive for three hours, then get stuck in the crazy Atlanta traffic, and stay over night so I wouldn’t be sleepy on the ride home. Perusing the racks at H&M during Lanvin madness is out of the question. Checking out this new Zara collection in the flesh is out of the question as well.
Target has awesome news for fans of their Go International line of designer collaborations. Finally Macy’s is taking a stab at fast fashion. It has worked for Target, H & M, and countless other brands in the past decade. I think it is about time, and I can’t wait. Just like Target, Macy’s will have a series of designer lines. When one designer is done, the new one will begin selling their wares. Kinder Aggugini, big in London but not here…yet, will be the first designer. I can’t wait to see what he will bring to Macy’s. This is all very exciting!
From The New York Times:
The collection for Macy’s, which will be sold at about 250 locations, will cost $50 to $300 and is targeted toward younger customers who shop in its Impulse departments. “This customer loves to shop,” said Jeff Gennette, the chief merchandising officer of Macy’s. “She wants to be in our store all the time, and we’d better be interesting.”
H & M are coming out with some more designer collaborations, but they are a secret? You won’t be able to find out until September 9th! They do have these sneaky videos to tease you, but I can’t really think of who it would be. One does kind of look like Daphne Guinness to me, but I doubt it.
