The red lip ruled the 2015 Oscars. From Margot Robbie to Emma Stone- who I was told is wearing Revlon of course- red lips were everywhere. Now a few ladies did opt for the neutral, natural lip, but their beauty looks didn’t stand out to me. It was the Oscars for crying out loud! If there ever were a time to go red, last night was it. Below you will find a bunch of red lip products to choose from with various price points. I picked out some lip glosses, lip sticks, and more because I know everyone doesn’t automatically want a lipstick. Photo from here.
Kat Dennings is wearing the heck out of oxblood for the Emmy 2012 Awards. If you didn’t know, oxblood
that color with the nasty sounding name has been everywhere as one of the top colors for the fall, and I honestly concur! This color looks great on every shade. Every shade. Some choose a deep, dark almost wine colored tint. Others choose a shade with a slightly lighter tint. Kat’s is the lighter more everyday friendly tint. The Lancôme ‘Rouge in Love Tonight is My Night’ Lipstick collection from Nordstrom has two shades that I think would be great to try out. Even though the Lancôme lipstick costs $25, it is super smooth and lasts a long time. I love the Rouge in Love lipstick. Try the shades Rogue Saint Honore and Rogue Valentine. July 4th is coming up which means it’s time to Party! What better time to try out this year’s beauty trends than now. Summer’s all about being bright and that is the main inspiration for our party looks.
Try a Bold Lip
Bold lips have been hot on the runways during fashion week. The best colors would be colors that resemble fruits. Like watermelon pink and citrusy orange. Matte or glossy, whichever works for the size of your lips. Remember that moisturizing is key to make the color last.
Gwen Stefani is L’Oreal’s new spokeswoman. She stars in a new commercial that was just released this week for the 10 Hour Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick, which I saw in Walmart and seriously want to try but couldn’t because they were all sold out. I think the commercial is a little cheesy for her in some parts, but really fun. You can’t go wrong with “Hollaback Girl”. Do you like the commercial? Do you think Gwen has what it takes to be a L’Oreal girl?
Not like smoker’s lips, but black lipstick. I have been seeing it done around the blogosphere, and I think it is about time I tried it out. I am going to go to the store, buy some and come back with my findings. Meanwhile…do you think this is something you would wear or have you tried it? I want to know what my readers think about this lipstick.
