Bond No. 9 New York Musk is the great new fragrance from Bond No. 9. This warm eau de parfume is a unisex fragrance that is sure to entice the senses. I love the warmth of Bond No. 9 New York Musk. The musk and sandalwood scents are strong. Warmth is the number one reason I love musk scents to begin with, but Bond No. 9 put the right amount of lightness in it with the grapefruit flower and black currant.
They always say a musk acts as a pheromone to help you attract a mate. While I know there are many naysayers out there, I can attest to the fact that whenever I wear a musk perfume I do get more attention. Since this is a holiday release, you should cop this for your holiday parties. 😉 Bond No. 9 New York Musk will appear on-counter in November 2012, Bond No. 9 New York Musk will be sold at Bond No. 9’s five New York stores, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom and bondno9.com. Price: 100ml, $330; 50ml, $260. Photo from Bond No. 9.
Bond No. 9 New York sent me their newest fragrance to review. Bond No. 9’s perfumes are inspired by New York City, and the newest fragrance is inspired by Central Park West. Central Park West is inspired by the tree lined streets and vintage apartment buildings on the Upper West Side. The fragrance notes start with narcissus, ylang ylang, and pepper. Then in the middle you have orris, jasmine, linden, and gardenia. To round off the scents, the notes end with white oak, vetiver, and musk.
The reason I am in love with this scent is because it smells light and fresh, but the pepper and musk give it this dark bite. I love dark scents. Light scents usually make my head hurt, but because of the blend of dark notes this scent is very doable for lovers of dark, warm scents. I can’t wait to wear this. I have to hide it from my mom because she wants to steal it from me. Central Park West launches March 15 and will be sold at Bond No. 9’s five New York stores, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, and bondno9.com. Price: 100ml, $250; 50ml, $180; body silk, $130; candle, $110; shower gel, $75.

You know how much I love to talk about trends. Trust me, anything new that comes out I’m all over it like an umbrella.
But let’s be honest. I’m a college student (read: so broke, it’s not even funny) so I can’t afford to jump on every trend bandwagon out there. Who has the money to replace their wardrobe every season?
Plus, there can be too much of a good thing. Trend + trend + trend+ trend = a wtf outfit. Outfits are like a culinary dish. Trends are the spices on top of your basic potatoes, and a girl cannot subsist off of pepper alone.
So this post is just to celebrate those classic, perfect pieces which, when you think about it, really are the foundations for effortless style.
