While both of my states in the Carolinas are recovering from Hurricane Matthew, I thought I would share some good news with you. I am so happy to finally be able to introduce one of the first items in my clothing line. It is called the Unisex Seether Oversized Crop Top. All of the pieces in my collection are named after my favorite 90s rock songs that were either made or sung by women. This item will be available soon. I can’t wait to share it with you all. You may have seen it on my Instagram where it was worn by my friend Alexis from Alexis Style. She is always down to support. Thank you so much. Continue Reading
Have you ever thought about certain denim street style looks that you think should be made into plus sizes? Well I’m back with another post where I show y’all street style looks that I would love to see/make for plus sizes. The first post in the street style series is here. Sidenote: If you are someone who wants your clothes to be flattering, this isn’t the post for you. I am from the f*^k flattering school of thought. If I like it, then I will wear it. 🙂 OK. Moving on. These are the looks I really love. I can’t wait for plus size designers and plus size women to start taking more style risks.
I recently graduated from fashion design school, and am starting to cultivate what I want my line to be like. In the mean time, I still see items that I would like to see made in plus sizes regardless of whether I make them or not. Creating a plus size line is hard. Trying to develop a decent size chart and patterns to match is stressful, and trying to fight people’s stereotypes and misconceptions about themselves and how they should dress and/or how plus size women should dress in general is even more stressful. I get why developing a plus size line is hard, but come on…some of us want cute styles too.
This weekend I drove to Atlanta to attend The Curvy Fashionista Style Expo. I don’t know if you follow me on Snapchat @tfasblog, but all of my Atlanta adventures were documented on the app. I had a really good time at Marie’s Denee’s event even though my day got off to a very rocky start.
eShakti.com sent me an amazing printed shirtdress that made me feel like a 1950s housewife. I was trying to do my best Lucille Ball impression in the video. Tee Hee. This beautiful dress is $69.95. I love eShakti.com because they have some really cute clothes that are affordable and go up to a size 36.
The other thing I love, which I will be trying next time, is there custom feature. You can put in your own measurements and they will make one of their many garments in your size. I love it because every body isn’t a standard size. Shipping takes about 14 days. I think it is longer for custom garments.

D. Auxilly For All Women Holiday Collection has just launched, and it is hot, hot, hot! The clothes range in size from 0-20 and in price from $98-$398. You have probably seen one of these dresses before, but had no clue who designed them. Auxilly dresses have been worn by Nicky Minaj, Trina, Brandy Norwood, Dawn Richards, Kelly Choi , Kelly Rowland, and Angela Simmons. D. Auxilly has been seen in Seventeen.com, Zink, Vogue Italia, and I can see why.
Gabi from Gabifresh was able to tape Nicolette Mason, from the blog of the same name, in her closet. There are so many goodies in there. Nicolette has a killer sense of style, and truly shows that size is just a number. This is one of the best fashion videos I have seen in a long time. I’m sure you will enjoy all the fashion goodies lined up in the video. To see more go to Gabifresh.
Plus size fashion designer Anna Scholz is back with another hot collection. I am always in love with what she does. Her clothes are really beautiful because she knows how to dress the plus size woman. Nice fabrics and sexy silhouettes are always apart of her collections. This new collection looks like it was inspired by the Jazz Age. The black dress with the side split is the hotness, and the prints are so flattering. Check the collection out in the video above.
