Universal Thread is big box store Target’s answer to inclusive denim and style. The new line of denim and accessories- which debuts on February 4th, is set to make a big splash in the industry. The line is affordable, super stylish, comes in various sizes, and the ads are super inclusive.
Target’s Who What Wear Collection is chock full of amazingness and it comes in plus sizes too. Also Target’s other new lines are really great too, but this collection is so good. I went to the store with mom and I wanted to get these pants. The Who What Wear Collection Tapered Leg Patent Papaerbag Trouser is calling my name. I am so mad I didn’t get these pants. The only reason I didn’t get them is because I am still on my weight loss journey and every time I buy pants or skirts, they end up falling off of me the next week.
I have really been loving all of the block heel sandals lately. This summer the shortened block heel is in. They are usually around 1-2 inches, but don’t look like a kitten heel. They are also easier on the feet than the skinnier heel no matter what height they come in. This particular pair of block heel sandals comes in three colors from Target. Although the Black and Cognac are nice, I think the Neutral colored pair is a very laid back look. The Mossimo heel has a few studs near the toe, and was $29.99. If you act quickly, you can get the shoe on sale for $25.48. Add the shoe to your summer wardrobe today.
Check out this Plus Size Spring Dress Haul that I shot a few seeks ago. I love these dresses from Target and ASOS Curve. I told you all that I am trying to do more clothing videos. OKAY! OKAY! Anyway. I love these dresses. I can’t wait to wear then out and about. I almost wore one of the Target dresses this weekend. The deets are below. I might put the outfit pics on my Instagram @thefatandskinny.
These past weeks have seen some icy weather, and that calls for some infinity scarves. I love infinity scarves this time of year because they warm the neck and can cover the face. I know plenty of people up north that could use these types of scarves. I always say that if you aren’t going to knit or crochet your own, you should stop by Target. Target always has the best selection on infinity scarves every year. The prices are always right too. Infinity scarves are on sale this week. Go out and get yours before the next winter storm.
3.1 Phillip Lim for Target is totally a thing and is totally happening and coming to a Target store near you! This will be another popular designer collaboration for Target especially since this line will feature clothes and accessories for men and women. The prices range from $19.99 to $299.99 for apparel and $19.99 to $59.99 for accessories. I can’t wait to see what will be available. The collection debuts stores and online September. Right in time for fashion week, non?
The Women’s Xhilaration® Selma High-Top Sneaker from Target looks just like those other, expensive sneaker wedges, but isn’t like those other more expensive shoes because these are at Target and they only costs $29.99. Go cop them!
I love how flowers can inspire beauty in everything…even makeup and beauty trends. These colors are a little wild, but I think they look great on everybody. Check them out below. Photos from Reason to Breathe, Sephora, and Target.
I am really digging the new designer collaborations at Target. The Shops at Target have special items from different boutiques around the country. The Webster in Miami is the boutique that brought their cute clothes to Target, and they have PLUS SIZES!!! While the whole collection isn’t plus size, their are quite a few plus size options to choose from. I put my four favorite options below, but also check here for more options. Photos from Target.
1. The Webster at Target® Womens Plus-Size Scoop-Neck Short-Sleeve Dress – Melon $36.99 2. The Webster at Target® Womens Plus-Size Short-Sleeve Fashion Tunic – Navy $22.99 3. The Webster at Target® Womens Plus-Size Scoop-Neck Fashion Tank – Navy/Green $19.99 4. The Webster at Target® Womens Plus-Size Embroiled Skirt – Navy $32.99
Jason Wu is the next designer for the big box chain Target. Here’s to hoping Michelle Obama’s favorite designer’s collection for Target won’t have any mishaps like the Missoni collection had. They had so many orders, they had to cancel some for lack of merchandise.
That great Italian label Missoni is coming to a Target near you on September 13th. This will be the biggest designer collaboration for the discount chain with over 400 pieces of clothing, housewear, and accessory items for sale. I, for one, cannot wait to see this collection. I mean who doesn’t want a little piece of Missoni at discount prices. What do you think about Missoni at Target? Are you excited? Photo from Style.com.
As you may recall, when the Pure Energy line first came out at Target I butchered it. Then I warmed up to it. Now I think it is one of the the better plus size lines at Target. They have great basics, and some trend heavy pieces too. The Pure Energy line is under $50 in price, so you won’t break the bank in style. Another great thing is that this line goes up to a size 30 instead of a size 24 like other plus size lines. Now if only they would put the plus size section in a more prominent part of the store instead of it being squeezed between Maternity and the dressing rooms.
Check out a few of my favorite pieces:
Target has awesome news for fans of their Go International line of designer collaborations. To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Go International Collection they are bringing back your favorite pieces with a greatest hits type collection. I am so excited for this. I can’t wait to see which pieces they bring back. Which designers/pieces are you excited for? Check out more information below. Photo From The Smart Stylist.

Halloween costumes are fun, sexy, cute, and for everyone. There are so many option and websites. Making this blog post made my head spin. If you are straight sized or plus sized , you will probably be able to find something you like. The possibilities are endless. I was able to find cute costumes from Halloween Express, Hips & Curves, Target, and Torrid. Be sure to check out Simon Doonan’s, Barney’s creative director, Halloween Costume collection for Target. I am not really the sexy costume type so I tend to wear safer costumes. I am thinking about being a sailor, but I’m not so sure. What are you going to be? Also check out Viva La Qbee’s Halloween makeup tips.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 Foundation is the best liquid foundation I have ever used. I keep trying to find others, like an idiot, but I can’t find any that can blend into my skin, even my skin tone, and make my skin look so smooth. I get sooo many compliments from this foundation.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this mascara. I used to use LashExact by CoverGirl, but now I am a devoted lover of the CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Blasting Mascara. This mascara makes my eyelashes so full and bright. I always get the Very Black to match my black eyelashes. Get this so your eyes can really pop.
Next up is my favorite set of blushes. BH Cosmetics are known for making some great highly pigmented eyeshadows that are perfect for day and night. I love them so much, but their blush set is even better. The blushes are so pigmented that I barely have to put much on, and they last all day. My cheeks end up looking so rosy and full of life.
Urban Decay’s All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray has helped my makeup stay fresh throughout this hot, hot summer. I could sweat buckets of water and it wouldn’t even matter. After my sweat dries off, my skin still has that matte oh she just put makeup on look, and you can’t beat that.
Last I want to show you the best investment any girl can make on makeup products. For $9.99 you can go to Target or Target.com and get the Sonia Kashuk Blending Sponge. All you have to do is wet the sponge a little, dab it in your liquid makeup (I use it religiously with my liquid foundation), and blend it on your face. I promise you will have airbrushed looking skin.
Target has really gone designer collaboration crazy! Coming up in the next few months are the collections by Zac Posen and Jean Paul Gaultier. Out of these collections, I love the JPG one the best. The trench coat and motorcycle jackets are tresmazing! Zac Posen’s line looks good if you are into that thing. I like Zac Posen, but his collection looks like a mix and match of things, more mix/matchy than usual. Photos from Refinery29 and Fashionista.com.
Yesterday’s camera-phone sneak peek of the Jean Paul Gaultier for Target collection led us to our receiving the actual lookbook. The original editorial from Elle—not Vogue—played a few tricks on us. There’s no lace paneling, no sheer-topped dresses, there’s a big cartoon anchor on that striped top, and that $40 trench is actually $59.99 (still affordable for just how adorable it is). But what can we expect when the line drops on March 7th? A hodgepodge of styles, really. At times the looks can look sweet, ranging from prim floral A-line skirts to bustier tops with a chipper, sailor’s neckline. But other times the looks can be positively head-scratching. The last time pin stripes and “tattoo-print” dresses appeared on our monitors was when we were watching old episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer on Hulu. Prices range from $17.99 for swimsuit separates to $199 for those sick leather jackets. Click through for all the looks!
The collection’s 100% Zac, made for a woman who likes to dress up, but might not have a red carpet to walk every other week.
It’s mostly dresses, highlights include a sleeveless floral mini with a massive side bow ($74), a well-cut purple polka-dot number with thick seams ($39), and the long printed gown at left ($69).
Swimsuits come in gold lame ($40) and tie dye (so do tees), skirts are basic black in flouncy cuts ($40) and Zac’s even included a slim black suit ($90).
You’ll have to wait until April 25th to buy it, but click through to see the whole collection.
