Bad Bish- Paris Couture Street Style

Paris Couture Street Style

Paris Couture Street StyleI saw this picture while looking at the Paris couture street style slideshow on The Cut. The colors look so amazing together. The striking pink shots with the clear ombre heel. The white dress with the red ruffles, and then you have the blue fur. The blue fur?!?!? It is just gorgeous. I don’t know who this woman is, but she has some serious style. Paris Couture Fashion Week. She couldn’t have picked a better place to show off her style. Have a great weekend!  🙂

Bad Bish- Beyonce Comes Back at Revel Concerts

Bad-Bish-LineBeyonce Revel Concerts

Ummm… Beyonce definitely gets this week’s Bad Bish honors for all the style and flare she possessed at last week’s Revel concerts. This is a complete comeback after losing 60 pounds and getting the guts to sing and dance again just four months after giving birth to Blue Ivy or Fair Oaks as my daddy calls her. P.S. This is the last day to enter the Leading Lady Bra contest.

Adele Looks Great On The Cover Of Cosmo

Adele on the cover of CosmoAdele is wearing leopard print Dolce & Gabbana on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine, and she looks so good.  The imaginary wind is blowing back her hair, she is giving sexy face, and the makeup is on point. Plus she isn’t styled like the usual plus size person posing awkwardly in really bad clothes on a magazine cover. Photo from The Cut.

What Street Style Photography Is Really Like

Video from The Cut.

A lot of times you see the pretty picture of a blogger or socialite, editor or model skirting to or from a fashion show. Everything looks so serene in those images, even the ones where they are walking or running. You never see what the other side of the lens looks like. Continue Reading

Hearst To Buy Elle Magazine

Well it has officially happened. Hearst bought Elle magazine. I hope it is for the best.

From The Cut:

After a month of exclusive negotiations, Lagardère has sold all 102 of its international titles, including its fifteen international editions of Elle magazine, to Hearst Corporation for 651 million euros in cash (about $885.6 million). It’s still unknown to what degree Lagardère will retain editorial control over Elle, per their requests during the negotiations, but WWD reports that Lagardère “retains ownership of the Elle trademark and plans to oversee brand consistency.” The deal is expected to close within months.

Lindsey Wixson Is Unrecognizable

Sixteen year old American modeling sensation Lindsey Wixson is unrecognizable in this ad for Versace’s newest perfume, Vanitas. I am not gonna lie, the ad is hot, but I didn’t even know it was her. Lindsey is doing so well right now. She walked a ton of big shows this season, and she is building a nice portfolio with her ad campaigns. Pretty sweet for a high schooler. Photo from The Cut.

Rihanna’s Stylist Suggests Christina Aguilera’s Look Is More Rihanna Than Lady Gaga

Mariel Haenn on Christina Aguilera’s comeback look: “Seeing stuff — the black patent leather, the tutus and the spikes — reminds me of Rihanna more than Gaga.” But what about her revolutionary flashing vagina heart? Where does that come from, hmmm? [NYDN]
I am so sick of all of this. Nobody is original anymore and everyone is original in their own way if that makes any sense at all.  I love all three, but in these pictures above, they look a hot mess. Over it!

Givenchy Is Making Couture Even More Exclusive

Follow Fellow Fashion Blogger @Gabifresh on Twitter Please.
She is trying to win the MTV TJ Contest!

From The Cut:

Exciting reminder: The fall 2010 couture collections begin July 5, which is only two weeks from today! And a little bit of a downer, but easy to get over once you understand the reasoning: Givenchy won’t show its couture collection on the runway. Also, their new collection will only consist of ten looks, less than half of the label’s spring 2010 couture collection, which included 22 looks, described by Suzy Menkes as “a wild rave of evening clothes.” Instead, the label will invite editors and clients to view the collection — which will include no black, Tisci says — in private appointments beginning July 6, held in a fabulous eighteenth-century townhouse on the Place VendĂ´me in Paris.

Read the rest here.

This actually makes total sense. Actually this is like the old school way of showing clothes and couture. As much as I would love to see a fashion show, I am pretty sure Style.com will have the pics up in no time.

Has the Ungaro Drama Been Solved?

Don’t for get to enter in the Maurices Contest!! It ends Thursday!

From The Cut blog:

With the housekeeping finally complete and Lindsay Lohan and Estrella Archs tossed out like cigarette-burned leggings, Emanuel Ungaro has finally appointed a new designer: Giles Deacon. The designer — a designer first and foremost by profession, it must be noted — will stage a presentation at Paris Fashion Week in October, and probably another presentation for the following Fashion Week in March. He wants to really get his feet wet before hitting the runway — no slapdash “I wasn’t aware of the nipple tassels on the girls until they were walking out” kinds of collections.

Read the rest here.

I think this is great, but there have been so many designers at Ungaro since the namesake designer left six years or so ago. I hope Giles Deacon can do something great with this brand because it needs some help. I actually did my final project on Ungaro. I had to pick a fashion company and rejuvenate it. I can’t wait to get my grades back.

Is Ungaro Moving On?

According to The Cutblog:

Lindsay Lohan did not attend the fall 2010 Emanuel Ungaro show in Paris this morning. “She’s not involved in this collection,” Ungaro owner Asim Abdullah told WWD backstage. Lohan has been attending shows and events in Paris, however. Last night, while the Oscars went on, she turned up at the launch party for Turkish Vogue.

OMG This Is Horrible News

This is so sad! I can’t even believe this. She was only 20 years old.

From NY Mag’s The Cut:

Model Daul Kim was found dead in Paris this morning, her agents at Next confirm. “She was a top model and a great friend to all of us at Next. Please respect her family’s privacy at this time of sadness. We will all miss her very much,” they said in a statement. The cause of death remains unknown at this time but a source tells the Cut the 20-year-old committed suicide. She will be missed.

Bad Bish

or maybe just Crazy Bish? Lady Gaga at Monday’s ACE awards where she accepted the Stylemaker award from Marc Jacobs. It’s nuts, but I think I like. MAC loves her too because Lady Gaga is going to be one of their new Viva Glam faces.
