Affordable Super Chunky Necklaces

ASOS, Topshop, and Forever 21 have some really affordable options for the chunky necklace trend. Editors and bloggers have been seen pairing these types of necklaces with collared button down shirts and even not so basic tees. I am not a big jewelry wearer, but when I do wear jewelry these are the types of necklaces I wear. I really love wearing them with my dresses because they can act as a statement piece. Fall Office Chic

Pair this outfit with a white tee or a white button down and you will be set. This is the kind of outfit where you can switch the pants out for dress, keep the shoes and jacket, and again you will be set. I love outfits where you can find multiple uses for it. Plus the jacket gives you a classic Chanel type look that you can wear again and again. Photos from the various links below.

It’s Shark Week!

It’s Shark Week, and I was browsing around looking for a new desktop background for this laptop because it was recently gifted to me by him and I haven’t “personalized it yet”. But as I was doing so I came across a pair of Miu Miu knockoffs on a very small supplier’s store and decided to post them up in dedication to the beginning of shark week. Too bad they’re sold out or I’d totally nab a pair just for funsies. I’ll probably do a DIY on them later… who knows. So without further chit chat here are those beautiful babies. Photo sources are listed below photos.

I later decided to add a few more things to this post. Once again none of these images are mine. Check out these lovely shark inspired pieces as well as novelty items!

I especially love Noir’s shark ring. I definitely want to rock that aggressive piece of ice.

Topshop.com Is Acting Brand New!

New Shoes Up At TFAS Shop!

Topshop.com got an extreme makeover this week. I had been trying to catch the new look all this week, but it only launched early for certain people. Today is the day that the new design has rolled up for others. I love the light clean look. Before I felt the page was too dark and heavy.  I also did not like the weird sidebar that they had. Clothes and other items are listed at the top. I feel that is more visually pleasing since your eyes like to look across more than sideways. Topshop, I’m a fan.

I Finally Did It…

People have been begging me to do an OOTD or outfit of the day post, especially since I bought these two new dresses. I am usually too busy to do a post like this, or I just don’t feel like it. I also don’t think I am that great a model, so why bother? The floral dress comes from Evans UK and the zippered sweats looking dress comes from Topshop. They were both birthday presents I bought for myself. My bday is tomorrow, and there will be a post for that too. Also, I am just now learning how to use Gimp properly. If anybody knows how to make my pictures look less blurry, please tell me.

UPDATE: I have been getting comments and emails about my size and Topshop. I wear a US size 18 or a UK size 20/22. Topshop only goes up to a US 12 or a UK 16. I can only buy Topshop garments if the clothes have a lot of stretch to them. I hope that helps people out since a lot of you want to shop at Topshop. Also I find that I can do the same at H&M.; DON’T the size on the tag scare you. If it stretches, it will probably fit you.

Topshop Spring Preview

Nitrolicious has the scoop on Topshop’s Spring Preview. I can honestly tell you that all the collections from the Unique line, to the limited edition designer lines. This spring is looking crazy at Topshop. I just spent an undetermined amount on their website on a piece from the Unique collection. I really didn’t want to spend money but…Anyway here are a few photos. The rest are at Nitrolicious.

Kate Moss For Topshop Christmas 2009

I really like the Kate Moss Topshop Christmas Collection. The collection is Asian inspired and very festive. I love the use of sequins and silks because it really makes the collection pop. This is by far the best and sexiest of all her Topshop collections. It just went on sale last week, and I am sure it will sell out soon. Topshop hasn’t been affected by Britain’s postal service strike so shop, shop, shop.

These Boots Were Made For Walking

Topshop’s Anique Stud Toe Ankle Boot is hot. I am not really feeling the zipper, but I can get past that part. It is really cute boot. I also like the fact that there is a 1″ hidden platform with a 4″ heel. The available colors are hot too. They cost $170.00 and are available now. Photos from Topshop.

P.S. Dorothy Perkins and Evans are doing FINAL REDUCTIONS NOW, so get your British shopping fix on today. I wrote a guest post for Full Figure Plus discussing my experience shopping on the Dorothy Perkins website. It should be up sometime this morning. Check it out here.

Topshop Fall Preview

From Xiyin Tang from Refinery 29:

Count on Topshop to instantly take to the big runway trends like viruses to their host cells, if you will. Regardless, if you’re looking for Balmain’s sequined minidresses, Dolce’s big, shaggy “fur” coats, Rodarte’s shredded knits, and, of course, those stellar thigh-high boots (somehow looks suspiciously amazing on the model…but we won’t believe it ’til we see it in person!) at decent prices, Topshop will be your mecca this fall. The lookbook even has a little homage to New York with a section called “Manhattan Cocktail,” which is a hodge-podge of going-out looks. Meanwhile, the “Highland Fling” section features that kind of rugged, bundled-up cool Opening Ceremony also copped in their fall lookbook. We also notice another Edie Sedgwick revival in the leopard-print, brocade minidresses, and seriously-lined eyes. But then again, when isn’t there one of those?
