Bad Bish- David and Victoria Beckham In Vogue Paris

David and Victoria Becham in Vogue Paris

David and Victoria Beckham in Vogue Paris

Have you had a chance to see David and Victoria Beckham in Vogue Paris? Despite all of the ups and downs this couple has had, they still seem to be into each other. They seem to still find each other sexy. The editorial for Vogue Paris was shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and styled by Emmanuelle Alt. David and Victoria have some solo shots, but the pictures with the two of them together are very sensual and sexy in a classy way. They don’t look like the trying to be extra provocative shots the superstar couple took for their Armani underwear ad. Catch the rest of the spread at Design Scene.

Rihanna and Victoria Beckham Score Big Over The Weekend

Rihanna Loud Rihanna and Victoria Beckham have scored both scored big over the weekend.Let’s start with Rihanna. She is the new face of Emporio Armani Underwear and  Armani Jeans. The ‘Man Down’ singer will be replacing actress Megan Fox in the fall.

This should be a great campaign for Rihanna who already has ad campaign experience with Gucci. As per her agreement with Armani, she will be wearing Armani exclusively on the red carpet. This will be interesting to see because Rihanna always brings her own flair when it comes to red carpet dressing. I wonder if Armani will whip up something in her style like they did for Lady Gaga? Of Note…Michelle Lee

This week’s Of Note post on KCD casting director Michelle Lee is the second post in the new series. The first post was of make-up maven Pat McGrath. I hope you are enjoying this new series. If you have suggestions/feedback, let me know in the comments section or email me.

Casting director Michelle Lee was born in New Jersey and thought that one day she would become a lawyer, but fate had other plans.  She moved to New York City and became a fashion show producer with top fashion firm KCD. Through producing fashion shows and a brief stint with renowned casting director Jennifer Venditti, Lee found that she could make a living finding models for editorials, ads, and fashion shows. She never knew that the role of casting director even existed before that time.

The Trench

Trench coats are always stylish and in season. They flatter every body type and provide a sexy sophistication to any casual outfit. Trenches are a good investment for any diva on a budget because they can be worn in both the spring seasons and the fall seasons. This fall expect to see more military and utilitarian style trenches, they’ll provide a rough edge to the otherwise classic trend.

Tons of celebrities have been spotted with Trench coats within in the past few months especially Victoria Beckham who has helped make the trench coat an iconic peace in the past year or so.

Paging Sherlock Holmes Please…

For a few years now, we have been hearing about luxury apparel and jewelery heists in and around London. People have been robbing stores and warehouses using any means necessary including motorcycles. Now they are robbing from delivery trucks. I may not be Sherlock Holmes or work for Scotland Yard, but I seriously believe these are being carried out by the same or similar groups of people. It has to be, right? Now someone has robbed Posh Spice. They took her entire collection that was in route to be sold at Neiman Marcus in America. Hopefully the pieces can be made quickly, or they are able to find out who did this so they can get the dresses back.

Photo and story from Vogue UK’s website:

The dresses, said to be worth up to £350,000, were taken at knife-point from the driver after their collection from 19 Entertainment’s head offices in west London on Thursday. The driver was not seriously hurt but was left bruised and shaken following the attack.

“This operation was meticulously planned. The thieves must feel they can make a fortune selling the collection on the black market,” a source told the Daily Mail. “Victoria was informed straight away about the incident and was shocked and deeply saddened, although her first priority was the well-being of the driver.”

New York Spring Fashion Week Post 5

Fashion week is still rolling on and everyone is patiently waiting for the big Marc show tonight. While you wait, check out my reviews of these collections.

Victoria Beckham’s collection was a little bit of the same from last time with a few changes. I think she is becoming more confident with her collection and herself. For those of you who don’t know, the reason she doesn’t smile is because she is really shy and trying to avoid people. According to a few tweets, she actually came out and explained her collection to people, so I think that is a great move for her. You are going to see the same 50’s housewife, Dior’s New Look, sharp geometric shapes, but you are also going to see a pattern splashed in there and some lacey cut out mesh fabric. Do I think the last two elements should have been added to the collection…NO, but she was trying to break up her collection. I can see some potential in the future. Overall it was good and I can see people buying it.

Diane von Furstenburg’s collection was more summer oriented than spring, but I loved it. I thought it was awesome how she mixed neutrals with neon colors. the whole collection was very tropical. The prints and fabrics really made you feel like you were on the beach. The model’s wavy hair and bright makeup make me miss summer already. I also applaud DVF for being one of the few designers to use ethnic women in her show. As president of the CFDA, she has to take stands on what she believes in. Hopefully other designer will follow suit. I doubt it though.

Erin Fetherston gets a big round of applause from me. I usually like all of her collections because they are youthful and unique, but there is only so much of the Minnie Mouse and Alice in Wonderland look, that she presents year in and year out, one can take. Well I think Erin got the memo. Her collection, while maintaining its youthful charm, is very much grown up. There are no Lolita’s here. The collection was inspired by her childhood in Japan, and I can totally see that in the floral prints, cut of the garments, and flowing gowns. This collection was one of her best because she actually took the time to mature.
