TFAS Reviews: Leading Lady Full Figured Bras

Molded Padded Seamless Wirefree Full Figure Bra

Last week the lovely people at Leading Lady sent me some full figured bras to review. I was a little skeptical at first because I can never seem to find the right bras in my size, but something told me to give it a try anyway. Just a sidenote before I get into the review, Leading Lady makes nursing bras, but since I am not nursing I didn’t review those. Check them out here if you are interested.

They told me I could try two bras, so I tried the Molded Padded Seamless Underwire Full Figured Bra and the Molded Padded Seamless Wirefree Full Figured Bra. I never wear wirefree bras because I always thought that full figured women should just wear underwire bras for optimal support, but like I said before, something told me to give it a try anyway. I went to pick out my size and found that they didn’t have my size available.  I started to get discouraged. Bra shopping for me is always a pain in the neck. I looked for their size chart and found out that they have an easy to follow guide to help you measure yourself. Once I did that I found that I was a completely different size in their line of bras. The PR rep sent my measurements into their fit specialist because I was a little unsure about things, and they came back with the same cup size that I had come up with.

Molded Padded Seamless Underwire Full Figure Bra

A week after I corresponded with the PR rep, my bras came in the mail. Because I was gong to be wearing a totally different size, I thought I might not actually fit the bras. I was wrong, the bras actually fit. This may be TMI, but you guys know how I try to be really real with these reviews. About a year ago when I got fitted at the mall, my original bra size was a 40 DDD. My Leading Lady bra size is 46 C. That is a big difference, but the bras still fit. My mom even said they fit better than my other bras.

Not only did the bras fit, but the fabric was smooth and soft. I don’t like lacy bras, so a simple padded bra is perfect for me. The padding was thin, but thick enough to conceal those moments when you might be a little cold. These bras had thick enough straps to make me feel secure while giving my shoulders a break, but they didn’t look too bulky. The straps fit perfect under a wifebeater tank, but not a spaghetti strap tank. The wirefree bra actually fit me so well. I think it even fit me better than the underwire bra! I even did the wash and dry test to see how my bras would hold out. When I washed the underwire bra, and hung it up to dry, it still fit me well. Since they are made of similar fabric, I assume the wirefree bra will wash and dry the same way.

Verdict:

  • For the price, $36.00, I will most definitely buy some more of these. My normal bras cost $60+.
  • My Leading Lady bras are smooth, soft, they fit, and they hold up in the wash.
  • Try their fit guide, before you buy just in case.
