Universal Thread

Universal Thread is big box store Target’s answer to inclusive denim and style. The new line of denim and accessories- which debuts on February 4th, is set to make a big splash in the industry. The line is affordable, super stylish, comes in various sizes, and the ads are super inclusive.

What has Target been up to lately?

Target recently revamped some of the brands in the store, added new ones, and took away some of the old ones in different departments last year. I know some people were a little bit skeptical of it, but I think it has worked. The clothes and housewares are way more current and up to date with the latest trends. The prices are still really nice, and the new lines seem to bit a hit with shoppers.

What are the prices like?

Everything in the Universal Thread line is under $40. The line, which replaces Merona and Massimo, will have a price range between $5-$39.99. The items I have seen look like the clothes I see in more expensive stores like the clothes in the contemporary section of Nordstrom or Neimans. I think it is about time that a big box store committed to something like this.

Three more things I like about this line:

  1. Anti-bagging technology-no saggy jeans please
  2. No fade black jeans-YAAAAAAAS!!!
  3. Stain-repellant white jeans-say what now?!?!?

Target’s Universal Thread goes up to a size 26 and will be in stores and online in a few weeks.
