I know you have been wondering where I have been the past few weeks. I am a fashion design student, so I was really busy with school. It really took a lot out of me completing my assignments for Collections class. I had to create a tiny clothing collection for class. I spent a lot of time, money, and resources trying to make magic happen. This was the first time I would show my own designs to the world, and I didn’t want to half step anything. I created countless test muslin shells and patterns, and had way too many visits to the fabric store.
The night before the fashion show, I literally thought I was going to throw up. I actually almost did. I was too nervous and excited. Even though there were some construction issues, I think I did a great job. I took some video, but the lighting was off. I still may try to show you all later. This quarter in Collections class we had to pick a theme. My theme was Barbie. I went one step further and decided to do a space Barbie theme. I want to personally thank my models ( Kila, Jenn, and Lauren) because you all really rocked it out for me. Thanks so much. Also thanks to Ms. V for encouraging me during this class. I was hella stressed, but you kept me sane. Next quarter I will probably just as busy if not more because I will be taking Portfolio and Advanced Patternmaking. Wish me luck.
