The new arrivals at Eloquii are really giving me life right now. I love fall fashion. I feel like the colder months are when I dress the best. This collection from Eloquii is sooo good. I can’t believe it is back to school time already. I have a back to school contest on Instagram right now. Enter to win a planner and a pack of pencils.

Plus Size Fashion: Forever 21 Belted Dress

plus size fashion

FTC: I received this dress courtesy of Forever 21. This is an honest review.

Hey everyone! I received a very pretty, very cool dress from Forever 21. I am saying cool because it is the kind of dress that you can beat the heat in. I don’t think this dress is still on sale on the website, but they have some other equally as cute short, belted dresses in their plus size section. I am wearing a 3x. I normally wear an 18/20 or 3x. I can say that is does fit me very well, and it has an elastic waist. I think this dress was under $30.

Plus Size Fashion: Harper and Liv Show and Tell

Harper and Liv

Thanks Harper + Liv for the awesome Items! Harper + Liv is that new plus size line that TFAS wrote about a few weeks ago. They sent me some items to wear, and I love my pants and duster. I was going to do one of my plus size fashion films, but the heat was like sike!. I had everything planned to go to this parking garage and do something cute, but it is toooo hot. Today it was 103 but supposedly it feels like 106. I can’t. Anyway. I enjoyed my clothes. I think I might size up on the pants next time so they can be a little more baggy. They fit well, but I like baggier clothes.

Ashley Stewart Fall Plus Size Fashion Haul

Ashley Stewart haul

Here is my video of my new fall pieces from Ashley Stewart. I am no model, but I tried to show you the different ways to wear the skirt, shirt, and sweaters. The Skirt is $34.50 and has ruching down the side. The shirt has a removable jewelry piece at the neckline, is quilted, and is also $34.50. *SIDE NOTE- This top is fitted, so it you want a looser fit, order a size up. The sweaters or cardis are both $29.50 and felt warm on the chilly day that I shot my video in the shade.

To Die For… ASOS Curve Disco Daring Look

ASOS Curve

ASOS Curve

I have really been impressed with the latest clothes from the ASOS Curve collection. I stopped looking at websites that tempt me into buying recently so I wouldn’t be tempted to spend, but the ASOS CURVE Maxi Dress With Bell Sleeve is calling my name. I saw Marie Denee mention it on twitter last night and I just couldn’t help myself. I had to take a peek. This dress is to die for. It reminds me of the days of disco. Like I am legitimately singing, “Everybody Dance! Doo Loo Loo Loo! Clap Your Hands, Clap Your Hands!” This dress also comes in blue, but the black ASOS CURVE Maxi Dress With Bell Sleeve looks more divine. Get you a piece! [SOURCE]

Take a behind the scenes look at Rihanna for River Island. In the video she discusses her influences and why she wanted to work with the brand. I am really interested to see what she comes up with. Her style, for the past two or so years, has been heavily influenced by British street kids. If her line is anything like that, I know it will be good.

Verlaine Fall/Winter 2012 Gives Me Elegant Goth Inspiration

Verlaine Fall/Winter 2012

I am starting to compile my dream looks for the fall and winter season. I need to go buy a sketchbook today so I can tape everything in there old school inspiration board style. I am torn between goth and preppy. The Verlaine Fall/Winter 2012 collection is giving me elegant goth looks. The Verlaine collection is for the grown up goth who has matured, but is still in love with edginess. The severe tailoring and sumptuous fabrics just do me in every time. I think my favorite pieces are the coat and long black dress with cutouts. I am really enjoying these looks from the lookbook. Enjoy!

The J Brand Black Leatherwood Alberta Pea Coat from Shopbop is the perfect winter coat for those that have edge. It is wool and leather and looks pretty badass. The problem is that not only does it come in really small sizes, it cost $1320. Supreme sad face to the max. A girl can dream though… Photo from Lyst.

TFAS Shop Tours : Versona Accssories Opens Up New Store In Columbia South Carolina

Yesterday I went to the grand opening of the brand new Versona Accessories store at the Village of Sandhill shopping center in Columbia, South Carolina. I wasn’t too familiar with this store. All I knew about it was that a friend had visited one in Charlotte, NC and loved it. She practically raved about it, so when a PR rep for the company invited me to the store I had to sneak a peek.

Shop Mango Summer 2011 Essentials

Mango Summer 2011 Essentials

I love Mango and their summer 2011 essentials. I think it is an awesome store. Well if you are someone like me, who doesn’t live near a Mango store, your love for Mango can be a problem. Unlike Zara and H&M, who are both slow to the whole online shopping thing, Mango has had an online store for years. I don’t have to travel to some mall or city hours away to get my Mango fix, and you don’t have to either. Aren’t we lucky?

When I look at these summer 2011 essentials, I am seriously digging both the oxford flats and heels, and the brown handbag near them. For some reason, I have been incorporating brown in a few of my outfits lately. Those accessories would help me out this summer. What are your favorite items?

Enter the Fashion to Figure Contest!

Check out the Free People January Catalog video. It features some really cute clothes and Paris.  You can’t go wrong with that. I love the airy, hippie looks for spring. My favorite piece is the Kite and Butterfly Tunic that the model wears in the middle of the video as she crosses the street. That is a look that I would totally wear. What is your favorite look from the video?

Pre-Fall/ Early Fall 2010 Top Trends and Ready To Wear Looks

Every new season I put together a little sketchbook full of the latest casual trends that are ready-to-wear and easy to attain. I usually use UO catalogs because I get 2 sent to my house everytime (so it’s a lot easier to cut them up and feel guilt free because I save EVERYTHING). Cliche as it may be UO has stepped up it’s game over the past few years and it becomes more and more refined as time goes on. (Too bad the prices become more refined as well). So here are a few pages describing some top trends, looks, and key pieces that everyone should look into for the fall season coming up.

Also I strongly recommend to anyone to make this a habit. Buy yourself some nice little sketchbooks and keep your ideas on hand at all times. It keeps you focused on what you really like and avoids those moments where you buy something and never end up wearing it because you weren’t as fond of it as you though you were. Only keep the things that really catch your attention and you fall in love with. And do it every season to keep up with the progression of trends and so you can notice the directions in which things are going. Even if you just write some comments do it. It’s incredibly useful and it’s fun!

Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Resort 2011

I am totally digging the Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Resort 2011 collection. It is so Nineties fantastic and cute. The clothes are great but the shoes are killing me. I want just about every pair so much to the point where I can’t even deal. I want every pair of platforms. I also love the use of leopard. What do you think of the looks?

H&M + Jimmy Choo

From Reuters:

STOCKHOLM (Reuters) – Swedish budget fashion giant Hennes & Mauritz said on Wednesday luxury shoe maker Jimmy Choo Ltd would become the latest in its string of high-profile guest designers.

The world’s third biggest retailer by sales said the collection by Jimmy Choo Ltd, also known for its bags, would be available from November 14 in around 200 stores across the world.

“This autumn, British accessory brand Jimmy Choo will bring its international glamour and covetable shoes and bags to selected H&M; stores,” H&M; said in a statement. “It is the first time that H&M; is collaborating with an accessories brand.”

Malaysia-born Jimmy Choo, who founded the firm together with current Chief Executive Tamara Mellon, became known to many through cosmopolitan U.S. television series Sex and the City that started running in 1998, in which Jimmy Choo’s stilettos were among lead character Carrie’s favorites.

Jimmy Choo left the company in 2001, a H&M; spokeswoman said, and sold his share of the business.

U.S. first lady Michelle Obama wore shoes by Jimmy Choo Ltd on her husband’s Inauguration Day.

H&M; said the guest line would also include women’s clothing and a men’s collection of shoes, bags and accessories.

Other fashion greats that have collaborated with H&M; include Karl Lagerfeld, Viktor & Rolf, Roberto Cavalli, Stella McCartney and Comme des Garcons founder Rei Kawakubo.

Their launches have generated frenzied scenes as shoppers sought to buy chic designs at cut-rate prices, and some collections have sold out within minutes.

YESSSSSSSSSS!!! I can’t wait…

UPDATE: WE HAVE A PICTURE FROM H&M…;

ASOS

My dad will tell you that I spend too much time and money shopping online. I only do it because I get better deals, plus I have cooled off for a little bit now. I don’t shop online as much as I used too, but I am getting that itch again. One of my favorite online shops, especially for deals and steals, is ASOS. They are one of the best because they ship to the US, convert currency on the website so you know how much it cost in dollars before you buy, and they have great clothes. This clown car shirt isn’t so great. I mean its got tiny pleats and polka-dots. The model tried with all her might to make it look not so clown like, but then they had to go and add a bowler hat which looks good with everything except clown attire.
